How do I request my ASEA Visa Prepaid Card? o To request your ASEA Visa Prepaid Card, simply click on the Request Card icon in the left margin of your ASEA SmartWallet account. This link will only be available to United States ASEA Associates. The ASEA Visa Prepaid Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. The Bancorp Bank; Member FDIC. Obtaining Your Card: The USA PATRIOT Act is a federal law that requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each 1
person who opens a Card Account. What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to reasonably identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents at any time. To Request your card you will need to complete the application which includes, o First and Last Name to appear on the card o Address to which the card will be mailed Physical Address Only (PO Box NOT accepted) o Contact phone number o Date of Birth of the account holder (same as First and Last name to appear on the card.) o Associate ID (ASEA Associate ID) o Government ID (Social Security Number) How many cards can be requested? o You may request one ASEA Visa Prepaid Card per ASEA SmartWallet account. You are limited to one ASEA SmartWallet account per ASEA Associateship. Can I request my business name or 2 nd applicant name to be printed on the ASEA card? o The card can only be issued with the Individual Name of the registered owner of the ASEA SmartWallet account and cannot be requested in a Business Name. Once I have requested my card, how long before I receive it? o Once your request has been approved, delivery can take 7-10 days. Your card will arrive in a plain white, window envelope with return receipt from The Bancorp Bank. Please pay close attention to your mail during this time period as not to inadvertantly discard the ASEA Visa. What should I do if my card does not arrive within 14 days of my request? o If you have not received your ASEA Visa within 14 days of your request, please call the ASEA Visa Customer Support Team. o 1-877-546-8220 o Hours of Operation : Monday Friday from 8am-5pm (Pacific Time) Once my card arrives, when can I start using it? o Once your card arrives, it will need to be activated online prior to use. Log in to your ASEA SmartWallet account and click on Activate Card. As a security requirement, you will not be able to use your card until it is activated and you have accepted the Cardholder Agreement. 2
o Card Activation requires that you: 1. Enter the 16 digit card number 2. Agree to the Terms and Conditions a. This feature requires that you scroll through the Cardholder Agreement and mark the box, prior to allowing you to click Confirm. 3. Set up a 4 digit PIN code In the future, if you forget your PIN, you can reset it using the Reset PIN feature or by calling 1-877-546-8220 and selecting the automated PIN reset option. 3
How do I load funds on to my ASEA Visa Prepaid Card? o After you have received and activated your card, you can load funds by clicking on the Prepaid Card link located under Wallet Tools on the left margin. Funds are available immediately once loaded. o Click the Load Card link and complete the confirmation steps and you will have loaded your ASEA Visa and are ready to SPEND! There is a daily load limit of $10,000 with a maximum of (10) loads of any denomination permitted every month. There is a maximum card balance limit of $10,000. There is a maximum of $2500 in purchases per day. 4
You may also unload your card to your personal bank account by clicking the unload to bank account link. Please note that you are limited to $500 per day for unload transactions. How can I check the balance of my ASEA Visa? o There are four options for reviewing the Prepaid Card Balance Log into your online ASEA SmartWallet account and view balance from your home page listed in the VISA box. Using your Smartphone, access www.aseasmartwallet.com/smart. (or download the ASEA SmartWallet mobile app from itunes!) Call 1-877-546-8220 and select the automated Get Balance inquiry You may make 2 free balance inquiries on ATMs each month; additional balance inquiries cost $0.25 each. Can I use my Smartphone to transfer funds? o No. Fund transfers can only be completed online as a security precaution in the event you have your phone stolen, lost or information compromised. Can I use my card to get cash at ATM s? o Yes, this is a tremendous benefit of using the ASEA card! Use your card at any ATM bearing the Visa, Plus, or STAR Acceptance Mark. You may withdrawal up to $300 per transaction, with a limit of $500 per day. How can I view my card transaction history? o You can view your card transaction history by logging into your ASEA SmartWallet account, clicking the prepaid card link and then clicking View Card Transactions. Your card transactions will be updated within a few minutes of the activity. Transaction processing is dependent on the individual merchant. 5
Can I use the card outside of the United States? o Yes. This card is accepted by most merchants, domestic and international, however, the card program is only available to US associates. If you make a purchase or withdrawal in a currency other thanunited States Dollars, the Issuer may assess a foreign currency conversion fee of 3% of the transaction amount. What should I do if my ASEA Visa Prepaid Card is lost or stolen? o If your card is lost or stolen, please immediately call 1-877-546-8220 to report it, any time of day and any day of the week. Our agents can then assist you by cancelling the card and issuing a new one for you. o ASEA Visa Prepaid Cards are covered by Visa's Zero Liability policy, which protects the cardholder from fraudulent use of a lost or stolen card. Upon discovering the loss, the cardholder should immediately notify the provider, who will issue a replacement card containing the remaining balance at the time the card was reported missing. o Visa's Zero Liability policy covers U.S. issued cards only and does not apply to ATM transactions, PIN transactions not processed by Visa, or certain commercial card transactions. Cardholder must notify issuer promptly of any unauthorized use.
