However, the terms and conditions which apply to any other service or facility which we provide you (for example, AIB Phone and Internet Banking), will only terminate to the extent that they relate to a service or facility provided in connection with your AIB Basic Bank Account. 1.3 You can get a copy of this document, our Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts, our A Guide to Fees and Charges for Personal Accounts and our Schedule of International Transaction Charges booklets, and copies of the terms and conditions for any other services or facilities we provide, from any of our branches or on our website. 2

1.4 The guidance on interpretation in the Interpretation section of our Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts applies to these terms and conditions. In addition, in these terms and conditions: unless a term is defined differently in these terms and conditions, terms defined in our Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts have the same meaning in these terms and conditions (even though they may not be capitalised). national minimum wage threshold means the national minimum hourly rate of pay as declared from time to time in accordance with section 11 of the National Minimum Wage Act 2000 (No.5 of 2000), multiplied by 2,080. personal payment account means any personal account (sole or joint) used primarily for the execution of day to day payment transactions which has at least the following features: the account allows you to (a) place funds, (b) withdraw cash and (c) make and receive payment transactions, including credit transfers, to and from a third party. Current Accounts are usually personal payment accounts, but other accounts may also have these features. we sometimes give examples of something covered by a clause or definition. We do this to assist you. The meaning and scope of these terms is never limited to these examples. Important: You should read the Declaration of Honour carefully before you sign it to make sure that the confirmations it contains are true for you. By signing the Declaration of Honour you confirm to us that you are entitled to an AIB Basic Bank Account. If: (1) we become aware that your confirmations were incorrect, or (2) you open another personal payment account with AIB or another bank in Ireland, you will no longer be eligible for an AIB Basic Bank Account, and we will (after giving you two months notice in writing) convert your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative personal payment account. Additional fees and charges may apply to such an alternative personal payment account (see Conversion of your AIB Basic Bank Account section). 2.4 There may be circumstances where we refuse to or cannot open an AIB Basic Bank Account. You may be eligible for other AIB accounts which have extra benefits and may be better suited to your banking needs. Additional fees and charges may apply to these accounts. Section 4 - Fees and charges This section sets out where you can find information on any fees and charges that apply to your AIB Basic Bank Account. This section replaces the Fees and Charges section of our Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts. Fees and charges 4.1 As an AIB Basic Bank Account holder you are exempt from certain fees and charges (including account maintenance and transaction fees) as set out in our A Guide to Fees and Charges for Personal Accounts. However: We do charge certain fees and charges for some of our services The fees and charges which apply to your AIB Basic Bank Account are listed in our A Guide to Fees and Charges for Personal Accounts and Schedule of International Transaction Charges booklets. We list all of our fees and charges in our branch notices. 6

We may charge additional fees on your AIB Basic Bank Account in the future We may charge additional reasonable fees and charges (including account maintenance, transaction fees and additional service charges including all manual standing order fees) on your AIB Basic Bank Account if: (i) twelve months after the date of opening of your AIB Basic Bank Account, and from then on annually (up to five years from the date of opening of your AIB Basic Bank Account), the total value of lodgements to your AIB Basic Bank Account in the previous twelve months exceeds the national minimum wage threshold; and/or (ii) five years have expired since the date on which your AIB Basic Bank Account was opened, regardless of the value of lodgements to your AIB Basic Bank Account. If we do, we will notify you two months before the introduction of such fees and charges and, if new terms and conditions are to apply in connection with the introduction of such fees and charges, we will also notify you of the new terms and conditions which will apply from two months after the date of notification. 4.4 We may take any fees and charges that you are liable for either from any amount paid, or to be paid, to or from your AIB Basic Bank Account (where relevant) or directly from your AIB Basic Bank Account. 4.5 We may do this even if it causes your AIB Basic Bank Account to be overdrawn and where we do this you will be liable to pay additional fees and charges including debit interest and surcharge interest. To avoid these charges, make sure that there is always enough money in your AIB Basic 7

Bank Account to cover all withdrawals, payments and applicable taxes, fees and charges. 4.6 Subject to notifying the relevant authority, we may from time to time change existing fees and charges and/or introduce new fees and charges. We will notify you of such changes in accordance with the terms of this agreement. Unauthorised overdraft charges 4.7 An overdraft facility is not available on the AIB Basic Bank Account. 4.8 You must at all times operate your AIB Basic Bank Account in credit which means that you must always make sure that there is enough money in your AIB Basic Bank Account to cover all withdrawals, payments and applicable taxes, fees and charges. Where you do not do this, in addition to our other rights under the agreement, you will be liable to pay fees and charges including debit interest and surcharge interest (see the General provisions relating to payments from and to your Account and the Interest sections of our Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts for more information). To avoid these charges, make sure that there is always enough money in your AIB Basic Bank Account to cover all withdrawals, payments and applicable taxes, fees and charges. We do not provide authorised overdraft facilities on the AIB Basic Bank Account. If you would like to apply for an authorised overdraft facility (which is subject to credit approval), you must first convert your account to an alternative payment account. An alternative payment account may have additional fees and charges. We recommend that you contact any of our branches or our customer service helpline if you are considering this step (see How we can contact each other section). Section 5 Changes to these terms and conditions From time to time we will want or need to change things, such as fees, charges or these terms and conditions. The Variation of the Conditions section of our Terms and Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts sets out how and when we can make changes to our Terms and 8

Conditions for Current, Demand Deposit and Masterplan Accounts. The provisions of that section apply to these terms and conditions also (including any change to fees and charges). Section 6 Conversion of your AIB Basic Bank Account This section sets out how you can convert your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative payment account and the process we will follow where we convert your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative payment account. How you can convert your AIB Basic Bank Account 6.1 If you no longer feel that the AIB Basic Bank Account is suitable for your needs, please contact your branch or our customer service helpline to discuss applying for an alternative payment account (see How we can contact each other section). Important: Where you convert your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative payment account, your new account may have additional fees and charges. When we can convert your AIB Basic Bank Account 6.2 You will no longer be eligible for the AIB Basic Account, and we may convert your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative payment account, to which additional fees and charges may be applied, by writing to you at least two months in advance, where: you have opened another personal payment account with any bank in Ireland (including us); you are no longer legally resident in the EEA; or you gave us incorrect information when applying to open your AIB Basic Bank Account, where giving us the correct information would have resulted in your application being refused (for example, where you already held a personal payment account with another bank in Ireland but did not declare this). 6.3 Where we convert your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative payment account these terms and conditions will no longer apply and we will notify you of the terms and conditions which will apply to your new account, including details of the fees and charges which will apply to your new account. 9

6.4 If we do not hear from you after we give you notice of the conversion of your AIB Basic Bank Account to an alternative payment account, you will be treated as having accepted the change. If you don t want to accept the change, you can request us to close your AIB Basic Bank Account (and end the agreement),. before the change happens by writing to your branch to notify them that you would like to close your AIB Basic Bank Account.
