Consumer Information Safety Tips The receiver is not a toy. Adult set-up is required for TV connect mode. Notes Please keep this owner's manual for future reference, as it contains important information. Requires three AA (LR6) and three C (LR14) alkaline batteries for operation. Batteries are not included. Adult assembly is required. Tool required for battery installation: Phillips screwdriver (not included). This product is intended for use indoors. Bright sunlight or incandescent light may affect the range between the piano and the receiver. Try dimming the light in the room. Care Wipe with a clean cloth dampened with a mild soap and water solution. Do not use bleach. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners. Do not immerse. This product has no consumer serviceable parts. Do not take this product apart. Assembly - Sit & Play 1 Support Star Button Leg Large Slot 2 Position the keyboard so it is facing up, as shown. Align the symbol on a leg assembly with the arrow on the keyboard. Fit the leg assembly onto the side of the keyboard. While pressing the star button on a support, fit the end of the support into the large slot in one of the legs, as shown. Make sure you hear a click. Repeat this procedure to assemble the other support and leg. Knob 3 Turn the knob on the leg assembly to secure it to the keyboard. Repeat this procedure to assemble the other leg assembly to the keyboard. 5

Assembly - Stand & Dance Note: If you are converting the toy from Sit & Play mode to Stand & Dance, first turn the knobs on each side of the keyboard to remove the leg assemblies. Then, press the star buttons to remove the supports from each leg. Support Star Button Leg Large Slot 2 Position the keyboard so it is facing up, as shown. Battery Installation When function is erratic or stops, it s time for an adult to change the batteries! We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life. 1,5V x 3 AA (LR6) Locate the battery compartment door on the bottom of the keyboard. Loosen the screws in the battery compartment door. Remove the battery compartment door. Insert three AA (LR6) alkaline batteries. Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screws. Protect the environment by not disposing of this product with household waste (2002/96/EC). Check your local authority for recycling advice and facilities (Europe only). 1,5V x 3 "C" (LR14) Locate the battery compartment door on the bottom of the receiver. Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door. Remove the battery compartment door. Insert three C (LR14) alkaline batteries. Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw. Hint: When receiver battery power is weak, you will see a low battery symbol on your TV screen. 7

Battery Installation Battery Safety Information In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fl uids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage: Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment. Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the product. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of this product in a fi re. The batteries inside may explode or leak. Never short-circuit the battery terminals. Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type, as recommended. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. Remove rechargeable batteries from the product before charging. If removable, rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. ICES-003 This Class B digital apparatus complies with Canadian ICES-003. Adult Set-Up (TV Connect Mode) White Yellow INPUT AUDIO IN VIDEO IN IMPORTANT! Your TV or VCR/DVD must have audio and video input jacks. Plug the audio-video pins on the receiver into the matching colored input jacks on your TV or VCR/DVD (yellow for Video In and white for Audio In ). Place the piano in front of the receiver. - The piano should be at least 3 but no more than 15 feet from the receiver. - Make sure the receiver is placed on a fl at sur face, either on ground level or no more than 5 feet off of the ground. - Make sure the receiver is centered in front of the piano. - Make sure there is a clear path between the piano and the receiver. Turn your TV or VCR/DVD power ON. Slide the power switch on the receiver to ON. Slide the power/mode switch on the piano to TV Connect. Hint: The L.E.D. on the receiver should always be on and will fl ash when there is a wireless connection to the piano. To fi nd the picture on your TV screen, set your TV s or VCR s/dvd s mode selector to INPUT or VIDEO IN. To adjust sound in TV Connect Mode, use your TV or VCR/DVD volume control. 5 Feet 3 15 Feet TV OR VCR/DVD TV 8

Background Music Use the backward and forward buttons on the receiver to toggle background music on or off. Press the select button to make a choice. Rhythm & Numbers Farm Movin ABC Zoo Play Tips Activities Use the backward and forward buttons on the receiver to scroll through activities. When you find one that you like, press the select button. The piano will turn off (sleep mode) if it is not used for three minutes. Press a key on the piano to turn on again. 10

Body Moves Dance Party Rhythm & Numbers Farm Level 1 Press a key on the piano to learn about different parts of the body. Keep pressing keys to hear a song! spin the roller to change the animal on screen. Level 1 Press a key on the piano to learn about animals! Listen to the name of the animal and the sound it makes. Keep pressing the keys to hear a song! spin the roller to watch the animals on screen. Level 2 Press a key on the piano to hear a body part. Watch the animals to see what they do. Now it s your turn! Toes, touch your toes! Wiggle your hips side to side. spin the roller for special effects! Level 2 Press a key on the piano to count animals on the farm. Keep pressing keys to hear a song! spin the roller for special effects! 11

Melody Garden Movin ABC Zoo Level 1 Press a key on the piano to learn about instruments! Listen to the name of the instrument and the sound it makes. Keep pressing the keys to hear a song. spin the roller to watch the animals on screen. Level 1 Press a key on the piano to learn about zoo animals! Listen to the name of the animal and watch it move. Keep pressing the keys to hear a song! spin the roller to watch the animals on screen. Level 2 Press the keys on the piano to play the instruments and build a song! Slide the trumpet, turn the puppy or spin the roller for different sound effects! 12 Level 2 Press a key on the piano for letters in the alphabet. Keep pressing the keys to learn the whole alphabet. See if you can find an animal that starts with that letter! spin the roller for special effects!

Shapes & Colors Music Show Play Tips Level 1 Press a key on the piano to learn about shapes and colors! Listen to the color of the shape and its name. Keep pressing the keys to hear a song! spin the roller to watch the animals on the screen! From the menu, use the backward and forward buttons on the receiver to scroll to Play Tips. Press the select button on the receiver to select play tips and view fun tips for you and your child. Level 2 Press a piano key to hear a dance song for that shape. Keep pressing the keys to see the shapes and colors music show! Try another button. spin the roller to see the shapes slide, wiggle and spin! 13 Use the backward or forward buttons to scroll to the arrows. Press the select button to go to the next page and view more play tips.

Learning and Music Modes Slide Turn Spin Press Power/Mode Switch Volume Switch Slide the power/mode switch on the piano to Learning or Music mode. Slide the volume switch to low volume or high volume. Hint: This volume control switch controls sound only in Learning and Music modes. It does not control sound when using this toy in TV connect mode. Learning Press the piano keys to learn the key colors colors. Slide the trumpet, turn the puppy or spin the roller to learn about the animals. Music Press the piano keys to play a tune. Slide the trumpet, turn the puppy or spin the roller for more instrument sounds! If the piano begins to operate erratically, you may need to reset the electronics. Slide the power/mode switch OFF and then back Learning or Music. When you are finished playing, slide the power/mode switch OFF. 14

Troubleshooting Guide Problem Cause Solution No image on the TV TV or VCR/DVD is not set to proper input Press the channel down button on the VCR/DVD or TV and check for an INPUT channel below channel 2. Use the menu system on your TV or VCR/DVD to fi nd INPUT or SOURCE. Change to INPUT or SOURCE. Refer to your TV's or VCR/DVD s instruction manual. Batteries in the piano/receiver are weak or dead Piano battery compartment door is loose No wireless connection (L.E.D. on receiver is off) Replace the batteries in the piano with three, new AA (LR6) alkaline batteries and the receiver with three, new C (LR14) alkaline batteries. Fully tighten both screws in the battery compartment door. Distance between piano and receiver must be 3-15 feet. Receiver must be placed fl at on ground level or no more than 5 feet off the ground. Make sure receiver is centered in front of piano. Make sure you have a clear path between the piano and the receiver. Do not place the receiver in a closed cabinet. Low battery symbol appears on TV screen Response on TV from piano is intermittent Image is stretched or distorted on a wide screen TV No wireless connection (L.E.D. on receiver is on but not fl ashing) Batteries in the receiver are weak Interference from another infrared device (ie.: remote control) Software is not designed to interrupt an animated learning sequence from constant button pressing, sliding, turning or spinning. TV aspect ratio set incorrectly Make sure receiver power is on. Slide the power switch ON. Receiver is in sleep mode (after 1 hour of non-use). Press any button on the receiver to wake it up. Receiver audio-video pins not connected to TV or VCR/DVD input jacks. Piano power is off or it is in Learning or Music mode. Slide the power/mode switch to TV Connect mode. Piano is in sleep mode (after 3 minutes of non-use). Press a key on the piano to wake it up. Replace the batteries in the receiver with three, new C (LR14) alkaline batteries. Do not use a remote control in the same room when using this toy. Once an animated learning sequence is complete, the software is ready to respond to a press, slide, turn or spin by baby. This product is designed for use with a 4:3 aspect ratio (display setting) and you should see black bars on the sides of the image. For best picture, do not use a 16:9 aspect ratio (stretched) wide screen setting. For more information on changing this setting, refer to your TV owner s manual. 15
