If your goal is to continue on to a Bachelor s degree, SUNY Adirondack s unique partnership with Empire State College allows you to seamlessly transfer your BusinessPass courses into an online Bachelor s degree program. Saratoga County is the heart of Tech Valley, one of New York State s most important economic revitalization initiatives. Countries from across the world are opening locations in Tech Valley, creating a surging demand for employees with solid backgrounds in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or STEM. SUNY Adirondack s Tech Valley STEM option is designed to help you get your foot in the door in this exciting industry. Many new tech companies require at least an Associate degree for all positions. With a curriculum specially designed to meet these entry-level job requirements, the Tech Valley STEM path at Wilton leads to a degree with a solid math emphasis. Student seeking to broaden their STEM skills may also enhance their curriculum by adding courses from SUNY Adirondack s Queensbury and Online campuses, as well as online courses offered statewide via the SUNY Learning Network. Nurses make up the largest segments of our nation s health care workforce. As the Baby Boom generation ages, the need for caring, competent, and qualified nurses is expected to grow at an unprecedented rate. In fact, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, more than 581,500 new Registered Nurse positions will be created through 2018, increasing the size of the country s RN workforce by 22%. SUNY Adirondack s Pre-Nursing at Wilton option offers a convenient and affordable way to prepare for a college degree in Nursing. This special package allows you to get started with the necessary coursework prior to gaining acceptance in a comprehensive Nursing program. Pre-Nursing at Wilton students may apply to transfer into Nursing programs at SUNY Adirondack s Queensbury campus, Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, or any other Nursing program within the State University of New York.
