CLIMATE ACTIVE HOUSE The low-energy garden centre with feel-good factor and exceptional energy efficiency. Forward-looking and sustainable. With VarioPlus you can achieve an ideal feel-good climate in your garden centre both in summer and winter, which invites your customers to stay a while longer. In addition you save almost 50% in energy compared with a Venlo garden centre. VarioPlus is at the cutting edge of technology: with the wide-span design and the all-round best insulation of the outside walls, even the required EnEV 2012 values can be achieved. Roof: Variolux Thermo 36 The Variolux Thermo 36 profile system for roofs enables insulated glazing with a U g value of up to 1.0 W/m 2 K. The new, additional level for the dissipation of condensation provides a particularly high level of water impermeability in the roof area. Walls: Variolux Thermo 36 hi The Variolux Thermo 36 hi profile system permits triple-glazing with glass thicknesses of up to 36 mm, enabling a U g value of up to 0.7 W/m 2 K. This profile system ensures the highest insulation currently achievable. Guttering: ISO-Channel Hi+ The ISO-Channel Hi+ in extra-wide design and top insulation guarantees a cold spot-free construction through dense glass roof connections and optimal sealing at the crossover points. Ventilation: Double-sided, continuous ventilation flaps The 2.00 m wide, double-sided, continuous ventilation flaps with reliable and highquality drive technology from the company Lock guarantee optimal ventilation, regardless of the weather. Controlled by the RAM climate computer K3000, all components work in perfect harmony. approx. 350 mm ENERGY CONSUMPTION high low Venlo Vario Basic Vario Plus VarioPlus Uw roof 1.8 W/m²K Uw walls 1.4 W/m²K U guttering 1.12 W/m²K Heat requirement per year 108 kw/h per m 2 of floor space Oil requirement per year 10.8 l/m² per m 2 of floor space Details of calculations can be found on the Service & technology page

Basic THE TRIED AND TESTED GARDEN CENTRE The practical and tried and tested overall concept for your garden centre with economic energy efficiency. Over the years VarioBasic has established and proven itself on the market. The use of the thermally separated profile system, Variolux Thermo 26, ensures efficient heat insulation, which reduces your energy costs in the long term. The technology and our long years of experience in planning and realisation guarantee you an efficient garden centre concept. VarioBasic is also available with the thermally non-separated glazing bar system, Variolux 26. Roof: Variolux Thermo 26/Variolux 26 As well as insulated glazing with a U g value of up to 1.1 W/m 2 K, the use of the Thermo 26 profile system for roofs also provides systematic sealing and optimal heat insulation with effective ventilation in the ridge area. Walls: Variolux Thermo 26/Variolux 26 Through cold spot-free glazing bars, double-layer sealing joints and insulated glazing, the glazing bar system is the optimal basis for the basic equipping of the garden centre. The universally-applicable profile and sealing system thus enables glazing of 4-26 mm glass thickness. Guttering: Non-insulated steel guttering The steel guttering has good and permanent water and condensation dissipation in winter, which does not require gutter heating. Ventilation: Double-sided, continuous ventilation flaps The 2.00 m wide, double-sided, continuous ventilation flaps with reliable and highquality propulsion technology from the company Lock guarantee optimal ventilation, regardless of the weather. Controlled by the RAM climate computer K3000, all components work in perfect harmony. approx. 200 mm ENERGY CONSUMPTION high low Venlo Vario Basic Vario Plus VarioBasic Uw roof 2.4 W/m²K Uw walls 2.4 W/m²K U guttering 7.0 W/m²K Heat requirement per year 162 kw/h per m 2 of floor space Oil requirement per year 16.21 l/m² per m 2 of floor space Details of calculations can be found on the Service & technology page

Venlo GARDEN CENTRE The low-cost investment alternative to entry level prices. The Venlo garden centre optimally completes the product portfolio. The combination of the recognised Variolux profile system with the typical Dutch Venlo design for the roof makes the garden centre concept the most low-cost alternative overall. Low investment costs make new builds interesting. Roof: Glazing bar system The self-supporting roof system on steel trusses is available in the standard dimensions of 3.20 m per cap. The ventilation takes place by means of sliding rods. Guttering: Aluminium guttering The aluminium guttering used here is thin but stable. An additional chamber in guttering provides better heat insulation than non-insulated steel guttering. Ventilation: Two-way flap ventilation In windy regions the two-way flap ventilation guarantees sufficient ventilation and heat dissipation of the sales floor in the garden centre. ca. 100 mm ENERGY CONSUMPTION high low Venlo Vario Basic Vario Plus Venlo Uw roof 3.1 W/m²K Uw walls 2.4 W/m²K U guttering 5.0 W/m²K Heat requirement per year 215 kw/h per m 2 of floor space Oil requirement per year 21.61 l/m² per m 2 of floor space Details of calculations can be found on the Service & technology page

CLIMATE ACTIVE HOUSE Energy check comparison of 3 garden centre designs Energy consumption calculation. The need for safe, affordable and environmentally-friendly energy is constantly growing. Energy efficiency, climate protection and new CO 2 -free energy technology play an increasingly decisive role here. To allow you to gain an exemplary overview, we have made a comparison between the 3 designs used: the Premium Garden Centre VarioPlus, the long tried and tested garden centre Vario- Basic, as well as the low-cost Venlo design. The comparative calculation of the energy efficiency is based on a reference object with 3200 hours of heating per year and a uniform plot size: Floor space 1,900 m² Enclosed space 11,820 m³ Outer wall 2,711 m² investment costs ( ) Differences in energy consumption arise due to different covering materials such as panel thickness, triple-glazing, insulated plinths and guttering. The better the design of these elements, the shorter the amortisation period. Thus your garden centre becomes more energy efficient. Thus for example, with a Venlo roof, only coverings with 16 mm multi-skin panels (16 mm sandwich panelling) is possible, whereas for VarioBasic and VarioPlus, high-quality safety insulated glass (26 mm thick) with thermally separated bar glazing and sandwich panelling (60-100 mm thick) can be used. Compare our three designs using the blue info box on energy consumption on the respective product pages. 600,000 500,000 additional costs 7.5 years 5.6 years 6.5 years Venlo GARDEN CENTRE Basic THE TRIED AND TESTED GARDEN CENTRE heating cost savings amortisation of additional costs (t) years Electric installation and regulating technology Felt or measured? How warm should it be and how cold may it be? As well as creating an optimal climate in the garden centre, the aim of our plans is also to enable significant savings in energy costs. The control and regulating technology can play a considerable role here. Specially based on your requirements, we configure, mount, modernise and commission analogue or digital technology. In addition you get on-site instruction and telephone support. Using our climate control software and the climate control computer K3000, every garden centre can be optimally adjusted to the local climate. Furthermore, the software gathers all external climate conditions that may have an effect and is attuned with the internal climate, such as temperature, light patterns and heating. Thus you obtain the optimal inside temperature which is comfortable for your clients and personnel. Service + maintenance of Kräss GlasCon you can rely on it! Best products deserve the best service!
