Buying Only Big, Big Bargains A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight. 7. Dumping Debt The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7 It s stupid to guarantee someone else s loan. Proverbs 17:18 (CEV) Owe no one anything except to love one another. Romans 13:8 My son, if you have become surety for your friend, if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, you are snared by the words of your own mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth. So do this, my son, and deliver yourself; for you have come into the hand of your friend; go and humble yourself; plead with your friend. Give no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids. Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, and like a bird from the hand of the fowler. Proverbs 6:1-5 8. Understanding Investments surely to poverty. Do not say to your neighbor, Go, and come back, and tomorrow I will give it, when you have it with you. Proverbs 3:27-28 Many are the plans in a man s heart, but the counsel of the Lord, it will stand. Proverbs 19:21 (NASB) A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1 (NASB) It is better not to vow than to vow and not pay. Ecclesiastes 5:5 And if anyone wants to sue you, and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you. Matthew 5:40-42 (NASB) Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. Psalms 50:15 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The Great Misunderstanding The earth is the Lord s and the fullness thereof -Psalms 24:1 (KJV) for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:11 together with a freewill offering for the house of God - Ezra 1:4 (NASV) When you have finished paying all the tithe of your increase - Deuteronomy 26:12 (NASV) And this stone, which I have set up as a pillar, will be God s house: and of that Thou dost give me I will surely give a tenth to Thee. Genesis 28:22 (NASV) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42 And if I give all my possessions to the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love it profits me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3 (NASV) The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself I give tithes of all that I posses. Luke 18:11 &12 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord s. It is holy to the Lord. Leviticus 27:30 You shall surely tithe all of the produce from what you sow, which come out of the field every year. Deuteronomy 14:22 (NASV) Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house - Malachi 3:10 bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse.
