INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE All our heaters are designed to meet the most stringent quality, performance, and safety requirements. This product manual aims to improve your understanding and appreciation of your new heater, by providing simple and informative instructions which enable you to install it and to ensure that you benefit from the excellent performance and features it has to offer.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to persons or property, when using any electrically powered product, basic safety precautions must always be followed as below: Before you connect the fireplace heater to the main supply. Make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate. Located on the back of the fireplace heater matches the mains voltage in your home. If it does not, contact your dealer and do not use it. Always operate the product from a power source of 220-240V ~ 50 Hz. Important! The fireplace must be earthed. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Warning : In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet. Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer or any other device that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Caution : In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility. Always Always install the heater in accordance with the instructions. If in doubt obtain expert advice. Always make sure the electrical socket is accessible and located adjacent to, but not above the heater. Always disconnect the heater from the electrical supply before carrying out cleaning, maintenance or replacing the bulb. Remove by grasping the plug - do not pull on the cord. Always use a fireguard when children and infirm persons can come into contact with the heater. Never Never leave children unsupervised in a room where the heater is ON and unguarded. Never obstruct or cover the fan outlet or force items into the heater openings, this could cause overheating and consequent risk of fire. Never be exposed to dripping or splashing. Never install or use the heater in the immediate vicinity of water, such as bathtub, washbowls, swimming pool etc. where the likelihood of immersion or splashing could occur. Never use aerosols or steam cleaners on or around the heater. Please read carefully before use and retain for future reference.

Never route the power supply cord under carpet etc. Never install the heater close to curtains or combustible materials. Never use the heater to dry clothes, etc. Never sit or stand on the heater. Never immerse the main unit or cord in water or any other liquid and allow liquid to penetrate the electrical parts of this appliance when you clean it. The outside surface of the fireplace hearer may get hot during use, please take care when you are using this appliance. No naked flames sources, such as candles, should be placed on the product. From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if the cord or any part of the appliance shows any signs of damage. Do not attempt to dismantle or repair this unit yourself. Repairs should only be performed by qualified personnel. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. CAUTION: Do not operate the appliance on an inclined plane; do not move while the appliance is switched on. This appliance is for household use only. Do not use in a commercial or industrial environment LEG ASSEMBLY Four (4) legs Twelve (12) screws Tools required: Phillips Screwdriver (Not Included) WARNING: Do not use this heater with missing, damaged, or broken legs. Lay stove upside down on a padded surface to avoid scratches to the surface of your stove. Line up holes in the leg with holes in the underside of the stove body. With the use of the screwdriver secure leg with the screws provided (3 screws per leg) as shown in the figure below.

PLACEMENT This free-standing heater is designed to be placed on a hard, level surface. When positioning, please keep the following points in mind: If you are placing the heater in an alcove, make sure that there is at least 150mm of space on all sides to ensure good air circulation The fireplace heater must not be located over a fixed electrical socket. The socket must always be accessible in order to disconnect the heater from the electrical supply for maintenance or when replacing a lamp. Keep hearth rugs and other soft furnishings away from the front of the heater. They could obstruct the free flow of hot air from the fan and damage both soft furnishings and heater. 150mm 150mm control s CONTROLS Never cover the heater or obstruct the opening at the base of the heater, this could cause overheating and, consequently, risk of fire. Please read carefully before use and retain for future reference.

Location of Controls The following switches are located under the controls cover, on the front of the heater. 1. Thermostat control knob - Adjust to maintain room temperature (Cycles between 900 and 1800W) 2. Flame dimmer control - Adjust to set flame intensity 3. Fan switch - Use alone for cool air or with heat settings 4. Heat switch - High heat setting when used with low heat setting 5. Heat Switch - High heat setting when used with low heat setting 6. Lamp switch - Switches flame/fuel effect on/off This heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet. OPERATING YOUR HEATER Insert Plug Into Mains Socket Open the control panel cover. Select the desired function: - Flame effect On/Off (6) Fan (3) (without heating) Low Heat 900w (3 + 4) or (3 + 5) Full Heat 1800w (3 + 4+ 5) Heat and Flame effect (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6) It is necessary to switch on the Fan to activate heat functions. Without fan, heating cannot start. Increase or decrease the flame effect by rotating the flame adjustment switch (2). Rotate thermostat control (1) clockwise or counter-clockwise to achieve desired room temperature. Please close the control panel cover after operated the switch.

AUTOMATIC CUT-OFF A cut-off switch is fitted to the heating element to prevent damage due to overheating. If it cutsoff due to an obstruction in the airflow, the heater must be allowed to cool for 15 minutes and the obstruction must be removed before restarting. Notice: Heater will only work if fan switch is on and thermostat is set above current room temperature. MAINTENANCE Always disconnect the heater from the electricity supply and allow it to cool before undertaking maintenance or replacing the bulb. Bulb Replacement The bulbs fitted to this heater are 220-240V ~ 50Hz G9 halogen bulbs. Due to the indeterminate life span and ease of replacement, the light bulbs are specifically excluded from the guarantee. LIGHT BULB REPLACEMENT Unplug from mains supply. Loosen the three screws at the front of the log bed. And then take off the fixed plate. Pull the log bed from the both ends to lift up the log bed decoration. Two bulbs are located underneath (see the figure below). Replace the bulbs with a 25W G9 halogen bulb. Remove the defective bulb by pulling it out of the holder Replace with a 25W G9 halogen bulb. Take care not to touch the bulb with bare hands and ensure that the bulb is pushed home To reassemble, follow the above instructions in reverse order. Please read carefully before use and retain for future reference.

CLEANING AND CARE Before cleaning, always remove the plug from the electrical socket. Ensure that the unit is cool enough to work on. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents to clean this product and avoid using abrasive cleaning agents. The heater and glass parts need only to be wiped clean with a dry, soft cloth; do not use polishes or abrasive materials. Do not immerse in water or any liquid when you clean it. Use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean this appliance. TROUBLE SHOOTING No light from the fuel effect: Possibly a bulb failure. Remove the faulty bulb as detailed above and check it in another lamp that is known to work. No heat or light: Check the wall socket by plugging in a working appliance. If socket is functional, and the cord or plug of the heater is suspected to be faulty, have it checked by an electrician. Light but no heat: Check that the Thermostat on the stove is set above the current room temperature. Alternatively, the automatic cut-off may have engaged - see Automatic Cut-Off section. SPECIFICATIONS POWER SUPPLY: 220-240V ~ 50Hz POWER CONSUMPTION: 1850W Electrical Connections - UK Plug Wiring Instruction If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or due to damage, please follow the wiring instructions shown below. The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: BROWN : LIVE (L) BLUE : NEUTRAL (N) GREEN/YELLOW : EARTH (E) As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, as follows: The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK. The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the letter L or coloured RED. The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked E or the earth symbol or coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW. Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and securely fastened.

WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED. If a 13A (BS1363) fused plug is used it must be fitted with a BS1362 13A fuse. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
