JobBOSS v11.9 ReadMe Release Snapshot JobBOSS v11.9 delivers enhancements to security administration and reporting, simplified and streamlined upgrade installation and additional integration with JobBOSS Quality by unipoint. Additionally, 55 bugs have been resolved as part of the JobBOSS v11.9 release. Security Administration Enhancements Ability to set up multiple user security roles through streamlined security administration. Administrators have the ability to define security roles and to assign numerous users to a single set of functions and related rights, rather than requiring each user to be set up individually. Security role & permission reporting provides information on the definition of a security role and users assigned to a role, and roles and reports assigned to a specific user. Streamlined Upgrade Installation Separate downloads for technology prerequisites and JobBOSS product are now available. Those customer who do not require the prerequisites have a single download. System checks ensure all prerequisites are satisfied prior to product download to prevent errors. Additional database upgrade automation. Enhanced JobBOSS Quality by unipoint Integration Additional links to unipoint are provided in Sales Order, Purchasing and Work Centers which take users directly to unipoint. Access to Requests, Document Control, Inspection Records and CPA files related to jobs and customers. unipoint server path moved to system preferences. Individual users will no longer be required to set up the unipoint server path on the client.

Important Things to Consider New Automated Database Upgrade Process The JobBOSS Server database upgrade process has been automated. Users no longer have to manually upgrade SQL databases. The new upgrade process only requires that the user provide the SQL Administrator ID and password, the server upgrade process will automatically upgrade selected JobBOSS databases. Security Administration Enhancements JobBOSS v11.9 3
JobBOSS v11.9 includes an enhancement to Security Administration. A new option Group Administration has been added. This new feature allows you to easily setup custom groups or use the defined system groups to provide groups of users with identical system access and user rights. Your existing JobBOSS user permissions were automatically ported with no changes into User Administration during the upgrade process. If you choose to use Group Administration, you may apply it to your existing user permissions. For detailed instructions on how to setup Group Administration, use the online-help provided in JobBOSS. Note: If you are upgrading from a previous version of JobBOSS, after you complete the upgrade to v11.9, it is highly recommended that you launch Security Administration and review the security permissions assigned to your users to ensure that all required permissions have been completely ported to the new Security Administration features. You can easily add or modify any user permissions that need to be changed.
