Feng Shui to Watch out when you are buying a home Buying a home is big investment for most of us. This investment is not only money, but also an investment in the wealth and health of your family and relationships. Before you buy, you need to inspect the place according to Feng Shui principals. This book gives more than 50 Feng Shui tips on what and where to watch out when you are buying a house from the forms prospective. The forms are the surroundings of a house or building. The forms play a very important part in Feng Shui. Without good forms, three is no Feng Shui at all. In my view, forms are much more important than formula. If you can find good forms surrendering the house you are going to buy, you have got 60% - 70% good Feng Shui already. There are six major parts you need to play attention to when look for house. The road leads to the house. The shape and slope of the land The house shape The main entrance The inside. The neighbourhood and your gut feeling. *You don t need to take the above 6 points in order. You can look for a house start from the neighbourhood. Copyright 2014 Edgar Lok Tin Yung http://www.loktinfengshui.com.au

Before inspecting the forms Before you look at any form at the left, right, back and front of the house, just use a good quality compass to measure the facing of the house. If the facing readings from the compass fall into the following directions, then you can single out this house not to look into it any further. Here are the readings. Tips #1: Avoid houses facing these directions

1. The road leads to the house (Road forms) As you drive toward the house. Observe the roads around the house. There should be NO roads pointing directly into the house. This direct pointing is call Poison Arrow Sha Chi (bad energy) Tips #2 Avoid Direct Poison Arrow Direct Poison Arrow!

Most books only show you the direct pointing (Direct Poison Arrow). There are also indirect road pointing. Indirect Poison Arrow hitting house #4, #7 and part of #5 and #6 Tips #3 Avoid Indirect Poison Arrow Indirect Poison Arrow hitting house #2.

Indirect Poison Arrow hitting house #3.

Tips # 4: Avoid houses located at T-intersection. House 8 is at good Spot

The house should be at the concave bend of the road; i.e. the road should bend around the house rather than away from the house. Tips #5 Road should bend around the house. Tips #6 Avoid road bend away from the house

Tips #7 the concave bend of the road around can also apply to building block. Tips #8 Avoid house located at the dead end point of the road.

Tips #9 Avoid roads that completely encircle the house. Do you know what happened to Napoleon when the Le Arc De Triomphe was being built?

Tips #10 The house should not have roads on more than 2 sides. Tips #11 Roads may not be found at both front and back of the house.

Tips #12 avoid houses near fast roads, heavy traffic roads, like highways, train tracks, airport Tips # 13 Avoid houses under or near flyover bridges

Tips #14 Avoid cul de sac as they produce circular Sha Chi. Tips #15 Avoid house build at the scissors mouth

Best houses are near quiet roads, streets, streams or slow flowing ponds. Provided the road entering it is not pointing towards the house.

2. The shape and slope of the land Observe the land shape and slope of the house, along with natural land forms like hills and mountains affect the feng shui of a house. A good way to observe this is to walk around the house. In apartments, it is also good to take a look outside every window and check the view and the land. Tips #16 the lands should be square or rectangular however too long is not good too. The ideal ratio is 2 to 3.

Tups #17 Triangle land never produces good Feng Shui. Tips #18 Avoiding house on the low side of the road, the back of the road slope backward, this will cause lack of support!

Tips #19 Avoid house at the lowest point of two roads. Tips #20 Avoid house on the top of the hill or at a steep slope

Tips #21 Avoid long walk up to the main door.

Tips #22 Avoid houses at windy places Tips #23 Road leads to the house with bends and can catch more Chi than it flows away

Tips #24 Round about can slow Chi flows away!

3. The house shape The shape of the house has the same rule of choosing the land. The shape of the house should be square or rectangular however too long is not good too. The ideal ratio is 2 to 3. Imagine the following lands are house shape. Tips #25 Avoid shallow and wide house.

Tips #26 Choose deep and rectangular house. 4. The main entrance and its surrendings. Tips #27 Look for house with large flat land in front.

Tips #28 Avoid looking over to a wide open ocean from the main door or windows. Tips #29 it is better to have such view if you choose houses near water.

Tips #30 The steps lead to the main door should not be to close. Look out for sharp edged structures like corners of buildings, pointed roofs, jagged mountain rocks, or huge sharp edged sculpture pointing toward the house. These bring inauspicious energy to the house. Tips #31 Avoid any object s corners pointing to the house.

Tips #32 Avoid big rock in front of the door Tips # 33 Avoid Poles old trees dead trees directly in front of the main door

Tips #34 Avoid power stations near the house and power lines running over the house brings inauspicious energy too.

Buildings, places that represent sickness and death, in the vicinity affect the house with oppressive energy. Tips #35 Avoid houses near or opposite to hospitals Tips #36 Avoid houses near or opposite to grave yards

Tips #37 Avoid houses near or opposite to temples Tips #38 Avoid houses near or opposite to Slaughter houses Police stations Fire stations Churches ugly stone mountains any object you can see and feel unpleasant of

樂天風水命理 Tips #41 Avoid drive way goes through the house. Tips #42 Avoid houses with no support

Tips #43 Avoid water flows underneath the house or building., Tips #44 Avoid Swimming pool at the South and North West sectors of the house.

5. Inside The House Tips #45 Avoid the internal staircase very close to the main door. Tips #46 Avoid the Front door line up with the back door.

Tips #47 Avoid circular stairs in side the house Tips #48 Avoid too many arch shapes inside the house.

Tips #49 Avoid when open the main door you can immediately see the heater. Any sort of heater gas wood electricity and so on.. Tips #50Avoid when open the main door you can immediately see the Toilet / bathroom.

Tips #51 Avoid when open the main door; you can immediately see the kitchen. Tips #52 Avoid kitchen and Toilet/bathroom within the Cross line

6. The neighbourhood and your gut feeling Observe the neighborhood situation. No matter how nice Feng Shui a house is, its Chi is ultimately affected by the surrounding neighborhood. Be wary of unusually "quiet" neighborhoods. Stay away from neighborhoods that have too many vacant houses, no sign of children, pets, or other fun human activity like gardening. These places have dead Qi. Too many unfinished, run-down houses indicate overall bad feng shui. Activity from children, animals and people doing things like sports is a sign of a healthy neighborhood. How does it feel as you enter the house? How do you feel as you approach the entrance of the house? Use your gut feeling. It is necessary to be aware of the need for intuition of this sort before viewing the house. Before entering the house, standing at about 1 meter from the main door, close your eyes and talk a deep breath. Avoid houses if the main door gives you the feeling of being threatening. Some times you may not understand why it makes you feel uneasy, but it is wise to take it as a sign that is bad feng shui. Avoid houses where you cannot find the main entrance door. These kinds of houses do exist, maybe because of strange structure, overgrown garden, or irregular shaped plot of land. It you cannot find the entrance easily, money god will find difficulty entering the home too! Entrances that look like they are being capped by an out-of-shaped awning, strange over-sized roofs should be avoided too. The entrance of the house should be inviting to you, the prospective buyer of the house. If you feel threatened as you reach the main door, chances are, this is not the right house for you. Needless to say the structure of the house is everything in Feng Shui. Enter a prospective house with a conscious effort to feel its ambiance. Use you five senses to intuitively audit the house.

1. Avoid irregularly shaped buildings; buildings with protrusions, triangular shape, spear shaped buildings are notorious for bringing down relationships in the family. This is because the more irregular shape will mean more sharp-wall corners in the house. Rectangular shaped buildings are the best bet. 2. Roof should be the right size. If a roof dominates the house structure, occupants in it will probably feel dominated too. 3. Windows bring in light and qi. Houses with windows too small or too few windows trap stagnant Qi. 4. Long corridors are common in many houses. This a poor feng shui feature, because it allows little movement and "sha qi" brought about by a bottle neck effect. 5. Sniff out humidity and dampness. This is common in cellars and attic. Avoid homes that have signs of dampness and humidity because it is a precursor for bigger problems later on. You can smell dampness in enclosed rooms. Other signs are water stains on walls and fungus. Copyright 2014 Edgar Lok Tin Yung http://www.loktinfengshui.com.au
