HARBOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY OF GOD CONNECTIONS MINISTRY QUALIFICATIONS FOR LEADERSHIP Christians who are in places of responsibility in church are required to be examples in all areas of their lives, including areas of faith, personal conduct, and financial affairs. Maintaining a high standard for workers is one of the best ways to present Christ to our communities. Therefore, the following guidelines will be required for any person who desires to be a Connections group leader at Harbor Light: 1. Exemplify a strong Christian life. 2. Be water baptized. 3. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit or diligently seeking. 4. Be an official member of Harbor Light (not just a regular attendee). 5. Must have attended Harbor Light for at least 6 months. 6. Be loyal to the pastors and submitted to the leaders of Harbor Light. 7. Be faithful in attendance at regular church services at Harbor Light. 8. Be a faithful tither of income to the Lord at Harbor Light. 9. If married, the spouse must be in agreement with your decision to lead a Connections group at Harbor Light. 10. Strive to complete the Connections Road Map for Leadership (Doorway Class, Foundations Class, Network Class, Just Walk Across the Room or Contagious Christian Class, Cleansing Stream Course) 11. Faithfully serve the people in your group/cell. 12. Strive to promote the evangelistic vision of the Connections ministry. 1

Faithfully serve the people in my group/cell. Willingly cooperate and respond to any direction or correction from the pastoral staff. Resolve all major problems (such as lack of repentance, unforgiveness, impurity, anger, bitterness, insecurity, self-promotion) in a loving way that honors all parties involved. Use my Connections group as an avenue to disciple people and fulfill the Great Commission. As a leader, I do not pretend to be someone who I am not, for I am not spiritually superior to anyone, nor am I insecure or doubtful about my faith in Jesus Christ. I realize that my influence for Christ does not stop at the end of each service, but continues every minute of every day of every week.
