The candidate shall demonstrate the ability to place the 55-gallon (208L) drum into the overpack drum using the following methods: (a) rolling slide-in; (b) slide-in; (c) slipover. 1. Perform decontamination according to IAP and department SOP s The following decontamination steps must be accomplished in the order listed: a) Enter decontamination area and drop-off tools b) Remove outer garments per IAP and SOP s c) Perform gross decontamination d) Perform a systematic technical decon process and evaluate for effectiveness e) Remove protective clothing while protecting for cross contamination f) Remove SCBA without breaking face piece seal g) Remove personal clothing if contaminated h) Personal shower i) Clothing replacement if necessary j) Medical evaluation 3. Inspect vapor-protective clothing and SCBA a) Inspect SCBA b) Inspect suit for: - Tears - Holes - Discoloration - Seams/stitches - Boot and glove attachments - Suit integrity - Correct valve placement 2. Properly don vapor-protective clothing and SCBA ensuring zippers/closures are securely fastened and double checks valves 3. Work in vapor-protective clothing and SCBA 4. 5. Verbalize necessity for technical decontamination Doff vapor-protective clothing and SCBA

Objectives: Install Dome Clamp JPR #19 Standard: [NFPA 472, 2013 Ed.] 7.4.3 (8) Primary Tasks: The candidate shall demonstrate the ability to install a clamp on the dome of an MC-306/DOT 406 cargo tank and perform the following: (a) approach simulator in a safe manner; (b) locate all leaks; (d) install dome clamp. 1. Approach the simulator safely 2. Eliminate ignition sources 3. Locate leaking dome 4. Candidate secures dome or properly installs dome clamp 5. Identify options for resolving containment issues if clamp does not completely stop leak.

Objectives: Radiation Monitoring JPR #20 Standard: [NFPA 472, 2013 Ed.] 7.2.3.5 Primary Tasks: Determine if the integrity of a radioactive container has been breached. 1. Background radiation on meter established. 2. PPE selection must include respiratory protection. 3. Check for radiation coming from within package: Transport index (TI) on package label compared to meter reading at three feet from package. If greater than TI then radiation incident declared. 4. Steps taken to check for responder contamination.
