CASTER ACE NO. 160X (Water soluble lubricant for Aluminum die-casting.) Caster Ace No. 160X is a water soluble emulsion type die release agent, which is based on refined mineral oils and high purity organic synthetic compounds. It is usually determined by ingredients of a die lubricant at what temperature the die lubricant will start wetting the die surface. A die lubricant which has the ability to adhere to the die surface of high temperature, will wet and cool down the die quickly, and if, once the die surface is cooled down, the lubricant will adhere to the die more easily and will form a film on it. However, it is said that the die lubricant film should be controlled film and should be neither too thick nor too thin. If the film is too thick, the incoming metal might engulf the film and take it away, which will cause a problem of gassing or flow lines. If too thin, the film might be torn partially, and it will induce soldering or galling from insufficient die release. Caster Ace No.160X adheres to a die surface of high temperature, while, even under relatively low temperature, it is designed to form a controlled film. Therefore, it will provide a good die release under a wide range of die temperatures. Appearance: White to light yellow Specific Gravity(15): 0.98 Viscosity(25): 7.0Mps P H: 9.4 None 1. Dilute with water 2. For ADC10 and 12, we recommend an initial dilution rate of 80-120 to 1. 3. For ADC6, we recommend an initial dilution ratio of 40-80 to 1. 1. Excellent casting surfaces 2. No build up or clogging of spray heads 3. Suitable range is medium to high Temperature - 3 -

CASTER ACE NO. 360 (For Zinc / soluble with water, kerosene or solvent) Caster Ace No. 360 is a new die release compound, soluble in ordinary tap water, kerosene or other light petroleum fractions. Due to its versatility and the fact it provides good die release for even intricate and hot running jobs, it has solved many problems for die casters. Caster Ace No. 360 is supplied as a stable fluid, which does not separate. Initial testing is started by thinning 1 part of Caster Ace No.360 with 30 parts of water whatever dilution you desire. This dilution will work fine on most jobs--but many jobs will take much higher dilution. In some cases, such as short-run Aluminum work, where dies are not water-cooled, Caster Ace No. 360 has been thinned with 25 to 50 parts water and sprayed on the die between each shot. Such a high water percentage cools the die substantially especially when spray time is increased a few seconds. Of course, severe draft angles or other factors may demand a much lower water ratio. When automatic spray is applied after each and every casting cycle, it is obvious that greater dilution can be employed than when spray is manually applied after every 3 or 4 casting cycles. The base oils in Caster Ace No. 360 have been carefully balanced and selected in terms of boiling and flash points so there will be a minimum of gassing or possible entrapment of volatile fractions. This means fewer rejects due to porosity. For best results Caster Ace No. 360 should be applied with spray systems, either manually operated or automatic. It will not clog any spray gun. When used and diluted properly there is no problem with die coating build-up or staining of castings. Caster Ace No. 360 contains no silicone or other troublesome material. Since it contains no water when shipped from our factory it is unaffected by freezing temperatures. Appearance: Yellowish Brown Specific Gravity(15 C): 0.91 Viscosity(25 C): 225Mps 230 C P H: 8.1 1. Dilute with water or kerosene 2. For average jobs, dilute with 60 parts of water or 80 parts of kerosene. 3. Find the best mixture for your job, since job condition is different. For safety, keep it away from extreme heat when it is diluted with kerosene. - 7 -

CASTER ACE NO. 363 (For zinc / soluble with water, kerosene or solvent) Caster Ace No. 363 is an improved die lubricant based on Caster Ace No. 360, to increase the effectiveness of die release, and Caster Ace No. 363 can be diluted with water, kerosene, or solvent. Caster Ace No. 363 does not interfere with paint or plate adhesion as it contains no material such as pigment, wax or silicon, and it never separates even after being substantially diluted. For aluminum jobs (No. 363 is suitable for rather small of thin castings), start with 30 to 1 dilution and it is possible to increase the dilution ratio finally. For zinc jobs, start at 50 parts water, but most jobs will run at a 80 to 1 dilution. In both aluminum and zinc jobs, if the die temperature is relatively low, dilute with kerosene or solvent. Or when water is used, lower the dilution ratio and apply less quantity. On the contrary, if the die temperature is relatively high and it is required to cool off the die, increase the dilution ratio with water and spray substantially. If this remedy is not enough to get a satisfactory die release, use kerosene or solvent for thinner. 1. Excellent die release 2. Provides a film that resists soldering 3. Promotes metal flow 4. None of stained castings or build-up on the die. 5. Brighter & cleaner finish Appearance: Oil type brown liquid Specific Gravity(15 C): 0.91 Viscosity(25 C): 180Mps 230º C P H: 7.6 1.
