IEEE EVENT REPORT WORKSHOP ON SIMULATION OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS USING MATLAB AND SIMULINK Introduction of the event IEEE Communication in collaboration with Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) & Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) organized a One-Day Workshop on "SIMULATION OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS USING MATLAB AND SIMULINK" on 2nd April 2012 at Usman Institute of Technology Karachi at 10am. Objective of the event As in other scientific areas simulation techniques play an important role in the design and evaluation of communication networks and systems. Often their complexity and size or simple economic reasons prevent studying them in reality. Thus many tools and programming class libraries exist for simulation purposes in the range of communication networks. The main objective of this workshop is to teach the participants basic simulation techniques in the field of Communication Systems. The workshop also emphasized to have the basic understanding of the theoretical concepts of communication systems. The tool that was used for simulation is MATLAB and Simulink.
