According to the objectives and requirements of building industrialization the paper reviews and analyzes the characteristics of three building industrialization development modes which are precast concrete structure modern cast-in-situ concrete structure and steel structure. Moreover it discusses problems in current application of precast concrete structure. Finally the paper puts forward several approaches to the promotion of building industrialization. It suggests that multi-mode industrial building structure systems should be developed in an all-around way and related research and application of demonstration engineering projects should be encouraged. It also proposes that the development of building industrialization should base on policy support and at the same time pay much attention to market orienting. What is more it is important to actively promote the development of a whole industrial chain and the application of BIM technology in building industrialization.
