Meaningful Use (MU) Database MPHI designed and implemented an on-line process to enroll and track providers through Stage 1 of MU. MPHI provides MU Help Desk supports services (Registration, Attestation, On-boarding, etc ) for the providers attesting through the State of MI MCIR system. Phase II of the MU database is currently underway. Create an expanded and centralized MU database (repository) for MU and non-mu testing for MCIR, MSS, MDSS, Cancer Registry, and Chronic Disease. Collaboration between Medicaid and Public Health to consolidate systems, utilize consistent HIT data (Ex. Master Health Provider Directory) and interface to the State of MI Data Hub in order to improve quality of care. CDC considering using MU database for best practices. http://michiganhealthit.org/

Electronic Death Registry System The State of Michigan is implementing a web-based system that allows authorized users to add, edit, certify, file, and view death certificates. Some of the benefits of the system are: Secure web portal accessible to a wide range of users Allows for a nearly paperless environment Tracking capabilities Improved communications between agencies More timely availability of mortality data Reduced fraud Improved Medicaid administrative efficiency MPHI is developing the training courseware utilizing our Learning Management System (LMS). Training will be delivered throughout the State of MI to all Medical Examiners, Clerks, Medical Personnel, and Funeral Directors.

Call Center / Help Desk Services Provider Support Services (PSS) & Home Help 27 PSS Help Desk personnel providing support for the MDCH Medical Services Administration: CHAMPS Medicaid Eligibility navigation Medicaid billing Provider Support Home Help Adult Foster Care The State of Michigan and State of Illinois are partnering to utilize CHAMPS in the State of Illinois. MPHI will be increasing PSS Help Desk staff to accommodate the State of Illinois. Anticipate 100% increase in staff by January 2015. Technology: Cisco Contact Center Express / IP Telephony.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Training Course Michigan Department of Community Health - 2013 Federal TBI Program Award for Most Adapted State Agency Grant Product. HIV Lab Management System (LMS) for the Michigan Department of Community Health Phase I - Designed and implemented a new HIV LMS application allowing for workflow to be applied to incoming HIV labs resulting in the savings of hundreds of manual labor hours processing labs. Phase II enhancements currently defined. Advanced Planning Documents (APD) 2012 Secured $9.8 million for the planning of the Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment System. 2012 Secured $125 million for the implementation of the Medicaid Eligibility and Enrollment System. 2013 Submitting 18 projects to CMS for funding. Anticipated funding $50 million. MPHI Business Analysts and Project Managers work closely with Medicaid and CMS on scope prior to submittal.

Medicaid Eligibility Transactions MPHI operates a Medicaid Eligibility System to provide eligibility data to Medicaid providers. Provide on-line real-time 270/271 eligibility transaction system for Michigan Medicaid HMO s, Providers and MDCH Trading Partners (BCBS). 5010 compliant transactions via a web service call to CHAMPS (MMIS) processed in: 2012 89.7 million queries 2011 97.7 million queries 2010 82 million queries MPHI staff provides subject matter expertise on the 270/271 transactions. MPHI assist the State of Michigan with CHAMPS testing in the Eligibility subsystem.

Home Help Registry Create a Home Help Worker Application System. Work with Medicaid to develop a web/mobile application for providers that will feed the necessary state applications. Will allow providers to be registered, screened, and placed into the registry. Create a consumer website to allow for searching of providers by skills, geographic region, and languages spoken. Support for providers currently being handled by the MPHI Help Desk. Current Home Help Registry is a stand alone system.
