EQUITY INVESTMENT IN REAL ESTATE THROUGH LISTED REITS

Transcription:

Stated Objective To represent Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) and other companies that invest directly or indirectly in real estate through development, management or ownership, including property agencies. Key Features The index is a subset of the Dow Jones U.S. Index, which covers 95% of U.S. securities based on float-adjusted market capitalization. Index pricing is transparent and simple, as it is based on securities traded in the stock market. Because the index is comprised primarily of REITs, the prices of the component stocks reflect changes in lease rates, vacancies, property development and transactions. The Dow Jones U.S. Real Estate Index was first calculated on February 14, 2000.
