Eternal Father and Creator Father in Heaven, Creator of all mankind, who am I, that You are mindful of me? You, O Lord, know the heart. You know the desire I have to please you. To cry out as did Paul, that I may know You. You know I have desired to do great things for you. Your desire is for the pure clean heart. To have a heart after you. You are great, O Lord. I know that You are in control of all things. The heart of the kings and rulers is in your hands. What they do, You know it. It is not outside Your dominion. You have not promised me a dwelling place here on earth, but you have promised one in your kingdom. A dwelling place which you have already begun to prepare.
God Calls Dear Lord, You are so mighty - I am so small. You know every detail of my life. You know all things from eternity past to eternity future which never ends. You the eternal God controls all things with Your loving hand. Blessed be God the Father. The promises of old in the Scripture continue to impact me. You promised to send a Savior and you did. This gives mankind the possibility of standing before you and a place in heaven for all those You call to be there with You. A perfect Father always knows what is best for His child. I trust in Your wondrous ways which are too awful for me to ever understand. By faith I trust You with my life now on this temporal earth and for my future eternal life with You. Your mercy and goodness have been shown through the ages. It is documented time and time again in Your Word. You have saved a wretched sinner like me. You have personally shown Your graciousness to me. I can never thank you enough! Please help me to be changed more and more into Your image each day. Help me to magnify You alone not myself or the idols in my heart. Help me to persevere to the end of my life to know You more and trust in Your promises and ways more each day. You are the only God. You are the only one that can ever help me. Thank You for opening my eyes to Your beautiful truth. Help me to able to boldly convey Your truth and wondrous ways to those I meet. Your truth is what sets us free. Thank You for the freedom You have given me through Your Son Jesus Christ.
Commander of Peace Dear God I seek first your forgiveness because I am a sinner in many different ways. I thank You for Your blessings and especially Your Son, Only Son Jesus! Oh Lord, without You I am nothing. I can t do anything and I will be nothing. God continue to strengthen me as you have in the past unto this day. Lord Father, continue keeping me in your peaceful land and pouring the peace to all whom need it. Give me wisdom and love. Be the commander of all who fight for peace. As you defeated Goliath through David defeat all war commanders who fight for nothing and believe on their forces. Dear Father, My Lord, I know that Your promises are always done at any time to the believer. I request all the above in the name of Jesus, Your Holy Son.
Faithful Father God Our Father, This is a self-loving, God-hating world, and so often I act as if I belong to it. I confess my sins of wanting my own way, of self-love and of acting religious when I am so filled with sin inside. Help me O Lord to have the faith of Elijah to stand up for the name and fame of Jesus Christ even if it seems no one stand with me. Help me, like Elijah, to point out the foolishness of believing in humanity s ability to save itself. Help me to learn and remember your promises to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and Your Eternal Son Jesus! Show Yourself powerful through me so I will faithfully and consistently live and proclaim the Good News more and more. God I pray that whatever else people think of me, they would think rightly about You because of my testimony before them. I pray they would see Jesus! Help them to know that You are merciful to sinners and mighty to save all kinds of sinners. Give me O Lord Almighty the Holy One of Israel, the heart to speak Your truth no matter what People with power, influence or human reputation might do. Last, when I am weary, worn down, and exhausted, keep be believing Your Good News! Keep me believing Your promise that you will be with Your church with me to the end. Help me to remember this is Christ s church, not mine. Help me to remember that Christ s authority is over heaven and earth and that He is walking among His churches watching, warning, helping, loving, encouraging them us me. And that I need never to believe that I am alone. May I glorify Your name in my time here. Keep Your promise to take me to your house
God Included Me Heavenly Father, I don t deserve Your salvation but yet You gave it to me. Thank You for saving me. Thank You for Your grace. And, thank You for putting me in a place where I can freely worship You. Help me never to take it for granted and help me to worship You more. When I think about Your greatness and Your power and Your wisdom and Your love and Your grace, I am overwhelmed that You chose me. Thank You that You care for me, that You promise to always be with me. Thank You that I can always trust You because You always keep Your promises. Thank You that the Gospel is included for me because of Your Covenant with Abraham. I don t deserve it, but You included it for me. You are over everything that happens in the world and in the same way You are over everything in my life.
Call to Repentance Father in Heaven, You alone are God, and there is none else like You. Your desire is for a people to seek Your face, to call upon Your name. I know that You are Lord and Master. Many around us today know of You, but they do not know You. You desire to be known. For men to know that You are God, that There is a God in heaven who works in the hearts of men, leading those who obey into righteousness, and allowing those who go after godless, selfish, lustful ambitions to be filled with their wickedness. Yet Your desire is that all men everywhere would repent, and turn from their wicked ways, for you are a long suffering God, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Even today men seek a sign, and it is not enough. I pray that I would be one who is obedient to you and confident in you, that I would be able to confidently declare your truth to those around me and that they would see You in me. The Called Dear Lord, You have in the past and you always will keep your covenant with Your People. Thank you for watching out for your sheep. The God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob is also my God. I am chosen as they were how amazing! Your grace on those that are so undeserving is overwhelming. Please convince me more and more to have the kind of fear of the Lord that draws me closer to You never further way. Thank You for those You have called, sealed and predestined. Thank You that I am one of them. Please soften unbeliever s hearts here in Jenison and Georgetown Township to also be saved and to be your chosen people. We are convinced of Your sovereignty and know Your will is best for us and Your Church. We pray Your will to include those we are trying to reach here in this area through Your Church Westside Baptist. Please remove false prophets and other stumbling blocks from Westside and from the area that may cause unbelievers or the unchurched people to continue on their road to destruction. Please help us to obey Your law and to see our blind spots more clearly and then to correct them according to Your ways. Help our private lives match up to our corporate worship lives when we are together as a local Church. Help our lives to draw people unto You not unto us. Please keep us from self pity by trusting completely in Your ways and Your God ordained results. May God always give us the desire to persevere for His cause and for His glory alone. Changed Into Your Image Heavenly Father, You are the same God that was with Abraham, Isaac and Elijah. And, You are still with me today as I work to obey Your Word. Continue to work in people s hearts as You have through the ages, turning them to Yourself as only You can do. You have the power to do what we cannot do ourselves. Change me to be more like Your image. Help me never to forget You or what You have done in my life. Help me to worship You correctly. Help me to have a heart of worship toward You continually. Give me more of a desire to obey Your Word. Remove the stumbling blocks in my life. Thank You that You hear my prayers and that You do answer them.
Ordinary is Extraordinary with God O Lord, The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, help Your people to see the evidences of Your diety. You reveal Yourself clearly in what You have made. Help us to take the time to reflect on what you have revealed about Yourself in power, wisdom, creativity, care, love, etc. You show Yourself through Your providential acts care, protection, provision, guidance, etc. You manifest Yourself through salvation and sanctification. Help us to stop longing for miracles but to open our eyes to the ordinary ways of God that are actually quite magnificent. Turn our eyes away from the idols of our hearts and of the culture around us. Turn us away from things of this life that may not be sinful but are just distracting and keeping us from doing the better things. Cause Your people to worship You and to give you the glory that is due Your name. Make us delight in the simple acts of obedience to Your Word. Help us to find great joy in doing your revealed will and in having to trust the working out of Your sovereign will. Make us put You always on the throne of our hearts as the only God and give us opportunities to make that know to the world.
