These Regulations (hereinafter the "Regulations") shall govern the organization and holding of the CONTEST FOR UNIX ENGINEERS, SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS IN THE AREA OF OPEN SOURCE AND LINUX 2015 (hereinafter the "Contest"). 1. Terms and definitions The following terms shall be used in these Regulations: 1.1. Contestant a legally capable individual of at least 18 years of age, acting personally, who fulfilled the Contest task acting as a member of a Team in compliance with the requirements hereof. The employees of the Organizer and its Affiliates, other persons participating in the organization of the Contest, as well as members of their families are not entitled to take part in the final round and apply for the prizes. 1.2 Team a group of Contestants, acting personally, who fulfilled the Contest task in compliance with the requirements hereof. The Teams that consist of the employees of the Organizer and its Affiliates, other persons participating in the organization of the Contest, as well as members of their families are not entitled to take part in the finals and apply for the prizes. One Team may consist of one up to sixteen Contestants (inclusive). 1.3 Team Captain a member of the Team who acts as its head during the Team's participation in the Contest. The Team member whose relevant appointment is approved by the other Team members shall be considered the Team Captain. He/she will be responsible for registering the Team for the Contest and performing other acts on behalf of the Team. 1.4. Result the deliverables of the contest tasks (games) forwarded by the registered Team to the Organizer within the term specified in Clause 4 hereof. 1.5. Finalist a member of the Team that got through to the final round of the Contest. 1.6 Contest Winners the Teams that got through to the final round and won the first, second and third places, respectively, whose Results were acknowledged to be the best on the basis of the criteria specified in Clause 7 hereof. 2. Objectives of the Contest 2.1. To draw attention to the profession of a system administrator and upgrade the qualification of relevant professionals. 3. Contest Organizer 3.1. YANDEX LLC acts as the Contest Organizer. 4. Contest period 4.1. Announcing the start of the Contest March 30, 2015 4.2. Qualification round April 9-10 and April 14-15, 2015
4.3. Announcing the names of the Contestants who got through to the final round April 21, 2015 4.4. Final round April 22-23, 2015 4.5. Summing up, announcing the names of the Contest Winners April 23, 2015. 5. Notification of the Contest conditions The conditions and procedure of the Contest are made available on the website at https://root.yandex.com. 6. Procedure for participation 6.1. The Contestants shall register before the end of the second game of the qualification round by filling in the electronic registration form posted at https://root.yandex.com. 6.2. When filling in the Team Registration Form, please specify the following: 6.2.1. Name of the Team; 6.2.2. E-mail of each of the Contestants; 6.2.3. Team description (optional). 6.3. Additional information to be provided by the members of the Contest Winner team: 6.3.1. surname, first name, patronymic; 6.3.2. residence address; 6.3.3. ID details; 6.3.4. year of birth; 6.3.5. contact telephone number; 6.3.6. place of employment/study; 6.3.7. profession (occupation). 6.4. By registering the Contestant gives his/her consent to the processing by the Organizer of his/her personal details specified in the Registration Form, as well as other personal details forwarded by the Contestant to the Organizer within the framework of the Contest, including performance by the Organizer of the acts provided for in Clause 3, Article 3 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data" dated July 27, 2006 in any way and by any means. Such consent shall be valid for 3 (three) years. 6.5. The Team shall be deemed registered after receipt of a request for moderation of the Team from its Captain sent from the following web-site: https://root.yandex.com. Only
those Teams whose requests are approved by the Contest Organizer shall be granted the right to participate. 6.6. After registration the Contestants may forward the Results to the Organizer within the term specified in Clause 4 hereof. 7. Requirements to the Contest results 7.1. The detailed requirements to the Results are set forth in the Rules posted at: https://root.yandex.com. 7.2. A Contest Committee consisting of the Organizer's employees shall be established in order to evaluate the Results. The members of the Committee, as well as its Rules and Regulations shall be approved by the CEO of the Organizer. 7.3. According to the results of the evaluation, the Contest Committee shall name the Winners who won the first, second, and third places. The relevant decision of the Contest Committee concerning the Winners shall be recorded in the Contest Award Memorandum (hereinafter the "Memorandum"). 8. Announcement of the Contest results 8.1. The Contest results shall be announced by naming the three Winners at the Organizer's office and posting the information on the Winners at https://root.yandex.com. 8.2. The Contest Finalists shall consent to the publishing of their surnames, first names, patronymics, photos and biographies on the Organizer's website. 9. Prizes 9.1. The Prizes shall be provided by the Organizer of the Contest. 9.2. The Winners who won the first, second and third places shall receive the following prize money, respectively: 9.2.1. first place 256, 000.00 rubles 00 kopecks; 9.2.2. second place 128, 000.00 rubles 00 kopecks; 9.2.3. third place 64,000.00 rubles 00 kopecks. 9.3. The amounts specified in Sub-clause 9.2. above are stated net of the personal income tax (NDFL) that shall be calculated and paid by the Organizer in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation. 9.4. Subject to prior agreement with the Winner, and to the extent provided for by Federal Law No.173-FZ "On Currency Regulation and Currency Control" dated December 10, 2003, the Organizer is entitled to pay the prize money in a foreign currency. The prize money shall be paid in a foreign currency at the rate established by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (http://www.cbr.ru/eng/currency_base/daily.aspx) as of the date of issue of the Memorandum.
10. Procedure for obtaining prizes 10.1. The prize money shall be awarded to the Winners by the Contest Organizer by way of transfer of funds to the bank accounts specified by the Winners. 10.2. In order to receive the prize the Winner shall provide to the Organizer the following documents: 10.2.1. Scan copy of the passport or other identity document of the Contestant; 10.2.2. Scan copy of the Certificate of Registration of an Individual with Tax Authorities at the Place of Residence in the Russian Federation (if available); 10.2.3. Consent to the Contest conditions (as per the form prepared by the Organizer); 10.2.4. Bank account details. 10.3. In case if the winning Team includes more than one Contestant, the relevant documents and information shall be submitted with respect to every Team member, and a notice containing the information on the agreement reached by the members concerning the allocation of the prize signed by all the Team members shall be forwarded to the Organizer. Failure to submit the said notice shall be treated as the Team members' agreement to divide the prize between all the members in equal proportions. 11. Final provisions 11.1. The Contest is organized and held in the Russian Federation under the laws of the Russian Federation. 11.2. Submitting an application for participation in the Contest shall mean a Contestant's unconditional consent to all the Contest conditions and these Regulations. 11.3. In all other aspects not covered by these Regulations the Organizer and the Contestants shall be governed by applicable laws of the Russian Federation. 11.4. All disputes and differences arising in connection with the organization and holding of the Contest shall be resolved through negotiations. If the Parties fail to resolve the disputes in the manner mentioned above, such disputes shall be resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the Organizer's registered office.
