How to Lead People to Jesus

A Thanksgiving Tract With scripture from the New Living Translation

A Daily Offering Giving thanks is a part of every day life. We say thank you to loved ones, colleagues, and in response to favors and service. More than a simple expression of gratitude, giving thanks should determine the way we live. In Christ, we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28) Everything good and perfect comes from our Father, who created the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:17) We have been given new life and are able to rejoice, even in suffering. (James 1:2) This Thanksgiving, make it a priority to share the Good News with friends and family. As you do, thank the Lord for his faithfulness. All of this is for your benefit. And as God s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. 2 Corinthians 4:15

Thanksgiving Scriptures Psalm 100:4-5 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 105:1 Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Ephesians 5:20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:4-7 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Revelation 7:12 They sang, Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.

Giving Thanks for the Ultimate Gift Jesus made it possible to be in relationship with the Father by living, dying, and raising to life again. For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 1 Corinthians 15:1a, 3b-4 Who then will condemn us? No one for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God s right hand, pleading for us. Romans 8:34 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Romans 6:17 Salvation is a gift from God that must be received through faith. If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:8-10

Giving Thanks for the Ultimate Gift We are free in Christ. So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don t get tied up again in slavery to the law. Galatians 5:1 And since we have been made right in God s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. Romans 5:9-11 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes. Romans 1:16 Prayer for Salvation "Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be."* Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.
