Historical Note The International Training in Communication, Vegas Valley Club Chapter Records located in Las Vegas, Nevada, is part of the International Training in Communication (ITC) organization. ITC is a non-profit organization of public-speaking clubs. ITC was founded in 1938 as the International Toastmistress s Club. Their first meeting was in San Francisco, California on August 11, 1939. In 1984, the organization s members voted to change the name of the organization at a convention in Dallas, Texas. In 1985, the name of the organization was changed to International Training in Communication. Thus, retaining its initials and promoting an organization that was open to both sexes. ITC provides global opportunities for self-improvement through quality training in communication and leadership - Page 3-
