The Titanic By Shannon Smith

My Introduction My name is Shannon Smith and I will be completing a presentation about the Titanic. This will be very interesting and I hope you enjoy it. By Shannon smith

The Titanic in Belfast The Titanic itself was also built in Belfast at the Harland and Wolff shipyard.the Titanic quarter in Belfast is a large building in Belfast and the company that built it was called the White Star Line.

Harland and Wolff Harland and Wolff is a very well known company That built the Titanic. This company has built ships that are luxury liners and Warships. The company is named after Edward J. Harland and Gustav W. Wolff, who founded the yard in 1858.

The white star line The white star line is a British company.they were the company that built RMS Titanic and its sister ship Britannic. The white star line were founded in Liverpool in 1845.

About the ship Titanic held some of the wealthiest people in the world. On the 14th April 4days into its maiden voyage Titanic hit an ice berg. By 2:20am Titanic broke apart and floundered, with over one thousand people still onboard. Carpathia arrived on the scene of the sinking, where she brought aboard an estimated 705 survivors.

Setting sail The route the Titanic took was to set sail in Belfast and go to Southampton shortly after midnight. Then they left Southampton and arrived at Cherbourg. From there the ship arrived at Queens town County Cork. When it left Queens town they were supposed to go to New York City. But they hit an ice-burg and it sank.

The captain The captain of the titanic was called captain Edward Smith. He was Born on January 27th 1850, in Hanley. On the night the Titanic sank the captain went to bed because he was upset.he died on the 15 April 1912 in the Atlantic Ocean and died while the Titanic was sinking. He was aged 62.

Danger-ice It was dark at night when the Titanic came across ICE. While it was trying to turn it crashed into the side of the boat and water began to fill up inside the Titanic. When the water finally got in all the air compartments it eventually started to float up and broke in half.while all this was in progress the killer ice-burg was floating peacefully at the top of the water.

Disaster strikes Titanic was in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and was estimated to have 2,224 people on board. The Titanic hit an ice burg at 23:40pm on Sunday 14th April 1912.Two hours later at 02:20 on Monday 15th April it sank. After the Carpathia rescued the Titanic with the survivors and became famous.the Carpathia was in World War One and was sunk in the Antlantic Ocean.

Life Boats There were only 20 life boats on the Titanic. All 20 lifeboats were used between 12:40 2:10 am. There were 2,223 people on board. The Titanic could only take 1,178 people, even though there were about 2,223 on board.

The death toll There were more than 1,500 people that died on the Titanic. Titanic now lies at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. There were 360 first class passengers. There were a total of 305 second class passengers,800 third class passengers and 903 crew and stewards.

The Aftermath The Titanic was known as one of the greatest disasters in modern times.john Jacob Astor was the richest man on the ship.he too went to his death with an unborn baby. The Carpathia Rescued the survivors on the Titanic.

Legacy Titanic s survivors arrived in New York at around 8:00 PM on April 18th,1912, almost three days after sinking of the Titanic. It was obvious that very few 3rd class passengers survived because they where at the bottom of the ship and couldn't get to the top.after the Titanic sank people went down searching for it right away.they couldn't find it because the technology wasn't as good in those days.

The end... I hope you enjoyed this presentation on the Titanic the end... By Shannon smith...

Evaluation I'm happy that I kept the same design the whole presentation. I wish that I put in a little more information.
