SWEDISH FOOD DELEGATION TO CHINA 瑞典食品代表团访华 HONG KONG, BEIJING AND SHANGHAI 23-25 TH NOVEMBER 2015 WITH ADDITONAL DAYS 26-27 TH

INVITATION SWEDISH FOOD DELEGATION TO CHINA 2015 23-25 (26-27) TH NOVEMBER 2015 You are invited to participate in the Swedish Food Delegation to Hong Kong and Mainland China headed by Mr. Sven-Erik Bucht, Minister for Rural Affairs OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THE FOOD MARKET IN GREATER CHINA The participants in the delegation will be given the opportunity to visit three strategic important cities; Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. Through a mix of meetings with key stakeholders and governmental agencies, study visits, seminars and B2B meetings, Swedish companies will be able to build a foundation for future business in China. The Delegation is organized by Business Sweden in close cooperation with the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, the Swedish Embassy in Beijing and the Swedish Consulate General in Hong Kong. TWO MARKETS WITH GROWING DEMAND FOR IMPORTED FOODS Hong Kong Hong Kong is a food import-dependent market with over 95% of its food supply imported. Hong Kong is also a trading hub for re-exports into mainland China, Macau and other neighbouring markets in Asia, the city is an ideal test bed and launch pad for brands into Asia. The Hong Kong program will provide the delegates an overview of the Hong Kong food market and import regulations, as well as opportunities to meet with potential local partners. Mainland China The Chinese food market is in many ways very attractive for food exporters due to its size, growth and increasing demand for foreign brands. The growing middle class is driving strong growth and demand for improved quality and show low confidence in domestic food companies. However, several challenges still exist, on both the regulatory and market level. The proposed program for mainland China will provide opportunities to further explore and learn more about the market characteristics for your company s future business in China.
