Rooted in the tradition of excellence set by founder J.D. Madison, M.D., the clinic was first opened in the Goldsmith Building at 425 East Wisconsin Avenue and the Goldsmith Gang remained there until the building was torn down in the 1970s. The practice began to grow and flourish in 1926 when Dr. J.D. Madison teamed with his nephew and pioneer in hematology, Dr. Fred Madison. Now located at 788 North Jefferson Street, Madison Medical Affiliates is entering its second century as Milwaukee s premier internal medicine group. Kathleen Baugrud, MD Dr. Baugrud earned her degree in medicine and completed her residency from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1985. She joined the medical staff of Columbia Hospital in 1991 and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. John R. Betz, MD Dr. Betz earned his degree in medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospitals in 2003. Gholi Darien, MD, FACP Dr. Darien earned his degree in medicine from Marquette University in 1962 and completed his residency at Columbia Hospital.
