RURAL ELECTRIFICATION: HOUSES VILLAGES DEVELOPING COUNTRIES Electric energy is one of the main means for the development of a rural area. Thanks to electric energy it is possible to make easier an endless series of actions, useful for the basic needs: Lighting; Water pumping, transfer and conditioning for human, agricultural (irrigation) and zootechnic uses; Supply of household appliances and various devices able to improve the quality of life; Supply of telecommunication systems, industrial plants, schools, hospitals, public offices ext.. The use of stand alone systems working through renewable energy (photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric, biomass) makes the supplying of electric energy in decentralized areas much easier, without using expensive cables or airlines which, anyway, will be never foreseen. THE PROGRAMME OF ENERECO srl KM-F SERIES - STAND ALONE KITS FOR THE ELECTRIFICATION OF ALPINE REFUGES ENERECO srl has developed a series of KITS for alpine refuges, complete with appliances at 12, 24Vdc low voltage (refrigerator, lamps, pumps ext.), which can be easily installed. Because of the naturalistic importance of such sites, through these kits ENERECO srl wanted to avoid the use of gensets granting no pollution and the max respect of the mountain territory. KM-I SERIES - STAND ALONE KITS FOR THE ELECTRIFICATION IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES Thanks to the deep knowledge of the problems in developing countries, ENERECO srl has developed a series of kits complete with special appliances such as A double class refrigerators, very low consumption lamps, high performance pumps, particular household appliances, innovative conditioning plants ext.. These kits are dimensioned using the photovoltaic and wind technology, with the possibility of inserting further back-up generation systems (endothermic generators, fuel-cell, CATs). LWP1 PHOTOVOLTAIC LANTERN The LPW1 has been designed to meet your need for a reliable and affordable portable light and for charging mobile phones. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS There are 4 brightness levels available. The duration of each, after one day charging is as follows: Level Duration 1 100 hours 2 24 hours 3 12 hours 4 6 hours Attention: the light source is high brightness LED. Do not look at the source directly. The indicator will turn red when there is 1 hour of light remain. The indicator will flash with red light for 30 seconds in case the battery is low. CHARGING OF THE BATTERY To charge the battery of the lantern with the solar light, put the SOLAR MODULE under sunlight and ensure that the solar module is directly exposed to the sun. If the module is partially shaded, it will affect and strongly reduce the power output. If you use the Energy Station in the Southern Hemisphere, the module must face the NORTH. If you use the Energy Station in the Northern Hemisphere, the module must face the SOUTH. Install the module by fixing it properly. The led signal turns red when being charged; it turns green when fully charged. It is normal that the charger gets hot when being charged. The item will be fully charged by solar panel after 10 hours (sunlight peak). Pag. 28 di 76
MAINTENANCE Make sure that the product is not exposed to liquids; Clean dust or dirt on the solar module with wet cloth Charge it at least once a month to prolong the battery lifespan The battery must be replaced after a certain number of years of use. This must be done by authorized technicians. PHOTOVOLTAIC AND HYBRID KITS FOR THE ELECTRIFICATION OF RURAL AREAS (mountain refugees, homes in developing countries, ext.) In an isolated site, not connected to the public electrical grid, the use of a generating set is not always the best solution. In fact it causes pollution, noise, it can have mechanical problems, you should take care of the removal of filters and oils, the supplying of fossil fuel and spare parts for the maintenance ext. These problems do not exist using a photovoltaic or hybrid system. Moreover, the generating set is a bit cheaper but the functioning and maintenance costs are expensive. On the other hand you can amortize the cost of a photovoltaic or hybrid system within 6-8 years and the system has a life time of 25-30 years considering only a batteries exchange every 6-8 years. KM SERIES KITS DEVELOPED BY ENERECO SRL ENERECO srl has developed a series of standard KITS for the electrification of isolated areas (mountain refugees, homes in developing countries ext.). KM kits are easy to be installed and they are complete with the various electrical devices such as lamps, refrigerators, freezers, pumps ext. The first value defines the capacity in litres of the refrigerator, the second one defines the capacity in litres of the freezer. The hybrid kits complete with wind system can be mostly used in sites with average wind characteristic of more than 5 m/sec, where the wind part can produce the energy demanded to be combined to the photovoltaic array. PV-W-CONT : PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM "STAND ALONE" ON CONTAINER IN GENERAL To supply isolated communities or installations or military telecommunications, ENERECO studied a series of photovoltaic systems and photovoltaic HYBRID easily transportable container on site. The system in question is designed ad hoch in according to the energy consumption of the client and wired inside the transportable container. Once in place, just download and place the container and open the structure located on the roof of the container, which contains the PV modules already fixed and electrically connected. The batteries and the apparatus of the system of energy production are already wired and positioned inside the container. Just then connect the cable to the output jack of the users of the system and all will be able to operate in a few minutes.
