The? Button Press the? button and then press any key to display help for that key Press the? button twice and quickly to display information about the selected feature Press the? button twice quickly during an active call to view network statistics ti ti about the active call 4
Selecting Ringer Type To change the ring sound: Press the settings button Select User Preferences Select Rings from the menu and press the Select soft key Select Default Ring Scroll through the ring types and press the Play soft key to hear the selected ring type When you find the ring you want, press the Select soft key Press the SAVE soft key to save the selection 5
Volume Adjustment With phone on hook, the VOLUME button increases or decreases the ringer volume With phone off hook, the VOLUME button adjusts audio volume Press the up or down VOLUME button Press the SAVE soft key The VOLUME button adjusts the volume only for the currently active voice receiver unless the adjustment is saved 6
Placing or Answering a Call You can place or answer a call many different ways! First, Press the LINE button, or Press the NewCall soft key, or Press the SPEAKER button, or Lift the handset, or Press the HEADSET button You have the option of dialing before or after going off hook 7
Muting and Placing a Call on Hold To mute a call, press the MUTE button, to disengage mute, press the MUTE button again To place a call on hold, press HOLD soft key, to return to the call, press RESUME soft key 8
Call Park Call Park allows you to put a call on HOLD, and retrieve the call from a different phone. Select the More button Select Park Remember the 5 digit number on the phone display (this is where the call is parked) From any phone, enter the 5 digit number to retrieve the call If call is not taken with 3 minutes, the caller will return to your phone 9
Forwarding Calls Using Your Phone On your phone: 1. Press the CFwdAll soft key 2. Enter the number where calls will be forwarded (press messages to send calls to voicemail) 3. To cancel forwarding, press the CFwdAll soft key again 4. The phone will display where the phone is forwarded 10
Transferring a Call To transfer a call to another phone: During a call, press the Transfer soft key Dial the number to which you want to transfer the call Press the Transfer soft key again to complete the transfer To transfer directly to voicemail dial * then dial the extension then hit the Transfer key again 11
Consult Transfer If the user does not want to receive the call or is not available: Press the End Call soft key to end the current call Make sure the original call is highlighted Press the Resume soft key Now you have the original call back and can make another choice 12
Ad-Hoc Conferencing To place a conference call: 1. During a call, press the more soft key and then press the Confrn soft key. This will put an active call on hold 2. Place a call to another person 3. When the call connects, press the Confrn soft key again 4. You can repeat above steps to add up to 8 callers 5. Use Conference List to view participants 13
Ad-Hoc Conferencing The conference leader can remove participants 1. Press the More softkey 2. Press the ConfList button 3. Use the scroll button to highlight a user 4. Press the Remove button to remove that participant 14
Viewing and Dialing Received Calls You can view and dial received, placed, and missed calls: 1. Press the DIRECTORIES button 2. Select a directory 3. Highlight ht a number For internal calls: Select the Dial softkey For external calls: Select the Dial soft key 15
Corporate Directory Find phone numbers for other associates using the online directory 1. Press the DIRECTORIES button 2. Select Corporate Directory 3. Enter the name of the user, either by first or last name or enter an extension 4. Press the Search soft key 5. Scroll through the users and PLACE press the Dial soft key to HOLDER call the number 16
Personal Directory Login to personal directory to configure fast dials and Address Book 1. Press the DIRECTORIES button 2. Select Personal Directory 3. Enter your AD Sony ID (how you logon to the computer in the morning) 4. Enter you PIN (Default PIN 5 Digit Extension) 5. Add Fast Dials and Address Book 17
Phone Remote Web Access Log in to the user options web page to configure specific phone options remotely 1. Access the internet 2. Enter URL http://sdica-cucm/ccmuser 3. Enter User ID: 4. Enter password: 5. Click Log on 18
Configuring Voicemail Before you can listen to voicemails, you must first configure your mailbox: Press messages button from your IP phone Default password is 1 3 4 6 7 9 Follow the prompts to record a recorded name and personal greetings Press # to complete 19
Passwords Must be at least 6 characters Cannot be sequential numbers Cannot be the extension number Lockout after 3 attempts Must Call Administrator to unlock 20
Greetings Users can have up to 5 greetings: Standard Internal Busy Closed Alternate (Alternate is active until you disable it) 21
Checking Your Voice Mail To set up or access voice mail: Press MESSAGE button and follow the voice instructions. OR You can access your voicemail il offsite by dialing your number and press * to sign in, or by dialing 858.942.9595 or 888.530.8575 ID is your 10 digit Phone number 22
Voice Mail Notification There are multiple types of voicemail notification: 1. Message waiting indicator on handset 2. Flashing envelope next to the line appearance 3. You have Voicemail will appear at the bottom of your screen 4. Wav File email in your outlook inbox 23

Forwarding a Message To forward a voice message you have received, simply: Press 6 after the message Enter the Name of the person to whom you would like to forward the message Or, Press ## and enter the Full 10 digit phone number of the person to whom you would like to forward the message VPIM Messages: ## then 1+ Location Code + 4 Digit Extension 26
