Practice #1 5 minutes Introduce yourself and have players introduce themselves 7 minutes Show positions and field layout - Have players stand at each position to help visualize 8 minutes Dribbling - Demonstrate dribbling slowly - In 2 lines, have players dribble from one side of the field to the other 10 minutes Shooting - Demonstrate shooting - Place ball by cone and shoot at goal (work on form) 10 minutes Passing & Trapping - Demonstrate passing techniques - Partner up and pass back and forth at different distances 10 minutes Goal Race - First team to score 10 goals wins * When players are not doing anything (waiting to shoot, etc) have them constantly be touching the ball, passing it back and forth between their feet, etc. The more touches they get, the more comfortable they become with the ball.

Practice #2 Ball taps 5 minutes Review positions 5 minutes Game Situations - Game Start - Out of Bounds / Throw Ins - Corner vs Goal Kicks 10 minutes Shooting - Review shooting - 3 cones, 5-10 yards from goal,kids shoot once from each - Repeat, but with goalie 10 minutes Passing & Trapping - Review passing technique - Players form large circle, pass to teammates after calling name 10 minutes Dribbling - Set cones in a straight line - Players dribble through cones as fast as they can while maintaining control of the ball - Time permitting, repeat and challenge them to beat their time 15 minutes Scrimmage - Divide players into even teams - Must practice calling for ball / telling team where they are

Practice #3 15 minutes Dribbling & Passing Drill - Have 2 lines about 5-10 yards apart - First player in each line jogs at a medium pace straight down the field - As the players are jogging, they pass the ball back and forth to each other when you say Pass - After they have passed 3 times, they stop and next group can go 15 minutes Goal Tending - One player plays goalie, they have to stay in the goal box - Have 3 different players take a turn trying to score a goal. Must shoot from outside goal box - After 3 shots, switch goalies 15 minutes Scrimmage - Play on 1/2 field - 3 forwards against 2 defenders & goalie - Play 5 minutes, then rotate

Practice #4 10 minutes Passing Circle - Entire team lines up in a large circle - Players pass to each other while calling out the name of whom theyʼre passing to 10 minutes Dribble Shooting Race - Players make 2 lines facing opposite goals at center field - Place a cone on the front two corners of the goal box - When you say Go the first person in each line dribbles to the cones and shoots a goal. They fetch their ball, dribble back and next player goes. - Team that finishes first and scores most goals wins 10 minutes Shoot the Moving Ball - Two lines - one line offense, other line defense - Coach rolls ball towards goal in center - One person from each line go after - Offense tries to score, while defender tries to get ball back over center line 10 minutes Dribble Knock Out Game

Practice #5 10 minutes Serpent Passing - Team lines up side by side facing the field with about 3 feet between each player - Place ball with an end player. The must pass the ball to the next player using the outside of their foot, without turning their body. - Once the ball gets to the end, reverse it so they use the other foot. - To make more challenging, make distance between each player further 10 minutes Traffic Jam - Use 4 cones to make a 20yds X 20yds square - Divide players equally on each side, each with a ball - When you say go players must dribble across to other side without hitting another player - Make more challenging, by making square smaller 10 minutes Goal Tending - Coach rolls ball to goalie - Goalie tries to find a defender to get the ball to, either by throwing, rolling, or punting - Defense is covered by offense 10 minutes Relay Races

Practice #6 10 minutes Quick Shot - Players start at center - Runs towards first cone, coach rolls ball to player, they take a shot - Keep running to second cone, closer to goal, repeat - Make more challenging by putting a goalie in 10 minutes Killer Whale - Form large circle with cones - All kids get a ball - One player is whale and tries to knock as many balls out of the circle in one minute 10 minutes Shoot the Moving Ball - Two lines - one line offense, other line defense - Coach rolls ball towards goal in center - One person from each line go after - Offense tries to score, while defender tries to get ball back over center line 10 minutes Dribble Knock Out Game
