Publishing a Respondus File to Blackboard Respondus Campus Wide can be used to: (1) import publisher test banks (2) create Respondus test banks and (3) import tests or test question pools into Blackboard. Follow these step by step instructions to publish a Respondus File to Blackboard: 1. If Respondus Campus Wide is not loaded onto your computer, obtain it in one of these ways: download the software from the College s Run Advertised Programs or download the software directly to a home computer from the Bb Faculty Resources channel on the Blackboard tab in My Tri C Space
2. From your desktop, click Start and All Programs. 3. From the list that appears, click Respondus 4.0 Campus Wide.
4. Respondus opens to the Start page and may prompt you to run an update. From a prompt to run an update, you click Ok or Cancel. If you click Ok, you may click Update or Don t Update. If you click Update and update completes successfully with no errors, restart your computer and re open Respondus errors occur on update, re open Respondus, click Update Later, and continue to the next step 5. From the Start page, click Open.
6. From the dialog box that appears, select the desired test file and click Open. 7. Notice that the test canvas opens.
8. Click the Preview & Publish tab. 9. Note: The Preview option can be used to review the test. Click Publish to Blackboard and Publish Wizard. 10. The Publish Wizard window opens. In Step one select Publish to single course.
11. In Step two, confirm that server settings are present and click Next. Note: If server settings are not present, see the Setting up a Server in Respondus document to complete that action.
12. The Publish Wizard dialogue box opens. Use the options on this page to choose a destination course, determine whether the test will be a question pool, or a test, and whether the test will replace an existing test or pool. 13. Use the pull down menu to select a course.
14. Select Create New Exam or use the pull down menu to select an existing exam or pool. 15. Select the check boxes in the Additional options for Exam/Survey area to apply these options to the test. 16. Click Next.
17. A course map of the selected Blackboard course will open. Expand the map to the desired location and click the desired folder, such as Lesson One in the example. 18. Click Next.
19. A progress window will appear and share when the question upload is complete. 20. Click Finish 21. Open the Blackboard course site to confirm that the Respondus test file is in place.
