2016 Dear Families and Incoming Fourth Graders, Congratulations on finishing another successful school year! We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you into the fourth grade. We have high expectations and hope for a fun and exciting year. As you start looking to fourth grade, there are a few things you can do over the summer to help you have the best year ever! Attached to this letter is a list of suggested reading materials for over the summer. Be sure to complete the summer reading assignment. If everyone in your homeroom passes it in, your homeroom will be rewarded! 100% participation is needed from your homeroom to receive the reward that means everyone! So spend those hot summer nights cooling off with a cool book In addition to keeping up with reading, it is also important that you come to fourth grade knowing your math facts (addition, subtraction, and multiplication). In order to be ready for the beginning of the year, you should practice all of these facts over the summer. Have a safe and healthy summer, and we look forward to seeing you in August! Sincerely, The Fourth Grade Team
