The Story Behind Stealth Technology Over the course of several decades the United States worked to develop a mature stealth technology program. By the 1980 s the B-2 Spirit, a multi-role bomber was unveiled. The B-2 utilizes stealth technology to defeat radar through absorption and deflection.
