WEEK # 1 Topic: Moves Circle-Take and Fake and Take DIAGRAM DESCRIPTION COACHING POINTS 6 Surfaces: Talk to your feet Each player has a ball. Have the players Correct surface of the foot try to use the 6 surfaces of the foot in one Correct surface of the ball fluid motion in this order: Outside, Inside, Body shape Laces, Bottom, Toe, and Heel. Transfer Ball should not stop the ball from left to right foot on the heel touch and repeat. Have the players Talk to your feet Correct surface of the foot try to use the 6 surfaces of the foot in Correct surface of the ball one fluid motion in this order: Outside, Body shape Inside, Laces, Bottom, Toe, and Heel. Ball should not stop moving Transfer the ball from left to right foot Foot must contact the ball on the heel touch and repeat. When the players display proficiency, challenge them to do it faster and in a smaller space. 4 Corners Turning: Set up a grid 5 yards wide x 7 yards long 2 players at diagonal corners and 1 ball. 1 st player dribbles towards the next cone ahead, then turns and dribbles diagonally towards the next cone, turns again and dribbles towards the next player. When the players become proficient, challenge them to make the space smaller and go faster Turning with Shadow Pressure: Place 4 cones in a 12-15 yard line The yellow cones (Turning Zone) are about 8 yards apart Two Players, one with the ball and one without by the red cone The player with the ball initiates RWB into the turning zone, in this zone the dribbler will perform two turns The players without the ball will shadow the dribbler 1v1 Running and Turning: In a 8x12 yard grid divided into two boxes with goals on one side The white team will be defending. In order to score, the red team needs to perform a turn in the second box After the turn, the player can score in any of the goals If the defending team gets the ball they can score after performing a turn. After all the red team players have gone, switch. Scrimmage: 4v4 + GK s, 5v5 + GK s or 6v6 + GK s Pass or shot = Dribble = Run = First touch Correct foot Head up Check shoulders before the turn Execute Drag Back or Stop and Turn Transfer ball to opposite foot Game speed - Acceleration after the turn Running with the Ball Push the ball forward with the instep (laces and outside of the foot) Each touch of the ball should push it a few steps ahead of the dribbler Keep a natural running stride The head is up and the eyes scan the field Turning Use the appropriate surface for the appropriate turn Keep your body between the defender and the ball Players must accelerate after turn Turn should be performed with right and left foot

WEEK # 3 Part I DIAGRAM Topic: Futsal Infused Soccer: Dribbling and Turning DESCRIPTION Coach Commands Dribble CCD: In a grid, all the players are dribbling their soccer balls and are executing the coach s command 1. Dribble only with right foot 2. Dribble only with left foot 3. Dribble using the inside and outside of the foot 4. Dribble, after 4 touches, stop the ball with the sole and change direction (Right foot first, then left foot) 5. Dribble using 6 surfaces At Coach s Clap 6. Switch balls 7. Dribble to another area 8. Turn and accelerate Use drag back and stop and turn 9. Stop and do a circle-take on the spot and dribble 10. Stop and do a fake and take 11. Stop and do a double circle-take 12. Stop and do a double fake and take Ball Mastery I - Taps with the Sole of the Foot: Place 3 cones in a line with the middle cone 7-10 yards from the end cones and two players by each end cone with a soccer ball each At coaches command they will go from their cone to the middle and back At Coaches Command: With the inside of the foot 1. Inside of the foot taps on the spot 2. Inside of the foot taps forward to cone and back 3. Inside of the foot taps forward to cone and backwards to cone 4. Inside of the foot taps forward zigzagging (changing directions) With the sole of the foot 5. Sole taps on the spot 6. Sole taps going forward to cone and backwards to cone 7. One foot sole taps going forward 3 taps and switch foot 8. Same as above, but at the cone go backwards 1v1 Moves and Turns: With the same set-up as above, have the players execute the following at the central cone: At the coaches command: 1. Dribble up to the middle cone and perform a Circle- take 2. Dribble up to the middle cone and perform a Fake-take 3. Dribble up to the middle cone and perform a Drag-back 4. Dribble up to the middle cone and perform a Stop and go 5. Combine the move and turn 1v1 and 2v2 s: The Coach with all the balls and the players in a line facing each other at opposite ends Coach serves the ball to any player. The receiver attacks the opponent s goal, immediately a defender comes out to stop the dribbler from scoring Goal can only be scored when in the attacking half Pass or shot = Dribble = Run =

White checks away Red checks in, receives, and passes to white Players must receive with the sole and sideway on Pass Through the Gate: Two columns of players facing each other 8-10 yards apart will pass a soccer ball through a gate Procedure: White passes to Red and runs to other column, and so forth Tasks: 1. Normal passing and receiving 2. Receive with the sole, pass with inside of the foot 3. Receive and pass with the sole Pass, Receive and Run : 3 players in a line see diagram Sequence: A passes to B. WEEK # 10 Topic: Street Soccer RULES Time: 10 to 12 minute games Numbers: 4v4 or if numbers allow, one group plays 3v3 or 5v5. Scoring: Each player on a winning team gets 3 points and 1 point for each goal scored by the team. The losing players each get 1 point for every goal scored by the team. In a tie, every player gets 1 point plus 1 point for each goal scored by his team. Restarts are a kick or dribble in from the point where the ball went out.
