If you have a dependent/grandchild planning to enroll next year in a posthigh school education program, such as college, junior college or a technical program, we encourage you to apply for a Teamsters Local Union No. 731 Scholarship. Mandatory requirements for the scholarship benefit include maintaining at least a B average while attending classes on a full-time basis or electing to earn at least twelve (12) credits per semester. You may also apply if you have a dependent/grandchild already enrolled in such a program who has maintained at least a B average. The scholarship benefits have been expanded and improved as follows: Five (5) awards at $7,500.00 per year for four (4) years. Two (2) awards at $10,000.00 per year for four (4) years. A formal independent Scholarship Committee consisting of Teachers and Counselors review the benefit applications and said Committee selects the fortunate recipients. This benefit is designed to assist the hard working membership of Local 731 whose dependents/grandchildren have credentials that indicate they can succeed in an additional educational program with scholarship assistance.
