BUNN PHASE BREW VS. TYPICAL DRIP PROGRAMMING YOUR BREWER note: You ust set te to use te brewer and te optional Auto-Start function. Reeber to reset te for tie canges and power outages. 1. Plug 3-prong power cord into standard electrical outlet. 2. Display will flas until is set. 3. Press Clock button. set - (optional) 4. Set tie using Hour and Minute buttons. Nubers scroll forward only. Take care to select correct AM/PM tie. 5. Press Clock button again to lock in tie. 1. Place BUNN coffee filter and coffee grounds into te Brew Funnel and slide into te Funnel Guides. 2. Fill brewer wit 20 40oz of water and place Carafe on base of brewer (failure to follow steps 1 and 2 ay result in property daage). 3. Press Auto-Start button. Hour and Minute buttons will ligt up, tie will flas on digital display. 4. Set tie using Hour and Minute buttons. Nubers scroll forward only. Stop at desired Auto-Start tie. Take care to select correct AM/PM tie. 5. Wen desired brewing tie is on te digital display, it will be set and Auto- Start will activate in 10 seconds. Once activated, Auto-Start button will illuinate wite. Do not press te Auto-Start button again as it will cancel your selected Auto-Start tie. 6. To ceck your Auto-Start setting at any tie, press te Auto-Start button and te digital display will flas te prograed tie. Te flasing tie will reain te set tie unless you cange it. After 10 seconds wit no buttons pused, te Auto-Start button will illuinate and Auto-Start is set. 7. Te Auto-Start function ust be activated eac tie you want to prescedule a brew. If te Auto-Start button is not illuinated, te Auto-Start function is not activated. 8. To cancel a prograed Auto-Start, press te Auto-Start button twice. 3
BREWING BETTER WITH PHASE BREW 1. Place BUNN coffee filter into te Brew Funnel. 2. Measure fres coffee into te filter, saking gently to level te grounds. We recoend 1 2 eaping Tbsp. of drip grind per cup. 3. Slide Brew Funnel into Funnel Guides. 4. Fill Carafe wit water iniu 4 cups (20oz), to axiu 8 cups (40oz). Open Spin Lid on top of brewer; pour water into Top Tank. Close Spin Lid. Do not open lid during eating or brewing pases. 5. Position carafe on base under Brew Funnel. 6. Press On/Off button to begin 6-inute eating pase. Brewer is on wen te red ligt under te On/Off Button is illuinated. Te Warer Plate will also be on and will atically sut off after 2 ours. Digital display will read Heating Water and a oving racetrack grapic will be displayed. 7. 4-inute brewing pase begins iediately after eating pase is copleted. At te end of te brewing pase, reove Brew Funnel and discard filter and grounds. Do not touc ot grounds. To turn te warer off wen te brewing pase copletes, pus te On/Off Button (no red ligt visible). 4
BREW BETTER TIPS You ll always brew better wit BUNN! Tese BREW BETTER TIPS will elp you get te ost flavor fro every cup! Use BUNN paper filters tey re ade wit a special grade of paper to extract te purest coffee flavor. And tey re taller, so you won t end up wit overflow and grounds in your coffee. For te best coffee flavor, grind beans just before brewing and be sure to use enoug coffee. For a full pot of coffee (40oz), we recoend 1-1.5 level TBSP of drip grind per cup, or about 1 1.5 inces of coffee in a flat-botto filter. For best coffee flavor, coffee can be eld in a glass carafe for up to 30 inutes or in a teral carafe for about 2 ours. For axiu fresness, store coffee in a clean, dry place away fro eat, vents, and extree cold. Fres, good-tasting water is essential for a perfect cup. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Was te brew funnel and glass carafe after eac use bot are top rack diswaser safe. Occasionally wipe te outside of your brewer, including te area above te funnel, wit a ild, non-citrus detergent and a dap clot. Wile cleaning your brewer, ceck te glass carafe andle and tigten wit a standard screwdriver if it s loose. 5
BREWER MAINTENANCE Tis unique brewing syste is sensitive to ineral build-up fro te water you use. Terefore, it is very iportant to clean te internal syste at least every 3 onts or wenever te digital displays sows CLEA after a brew cycle is done. Te iger te ineral content in te water you use, te ore often you sould clean. Regular internal syste cleaning will prolong te life of your Pase Brew and elp guarantee an optial brewing result. 1. Reove te Sprayead located above te Brew Funnel by turning wit your fingertips. 2. Ceck te Sprayead. If plugged wit ineral deposits or wite flakes, use a tootpick to reove. Clean te Sprayead wit a clot and ild detergent. Rinse te Sprayead wit water. 3. Slide epty Brew Funnel into te Funnel Guides under te Sprayead. 4. Open te spin lid on top of te brewer and fill brewer wit water to te 6-cup (30oz) ark. 5. Add 2 cups (10oz) of wite vinegar to brewer, filling it to te 8-cup ark. 6. Close te Spin Lid. 7. Place epty Carafe on te base Warer Plate of brewer. 8. Press te On/Off Button to cycle te vinegar solution troug te brewer. 9. Epty carafe at end of cycle. 10. Run 3 or ore additional cycles wit full carafes of water to flus reaining vinegar solution fro te brewer. 11. Reinstall Sprayead. Note: For a stronger clean, 100% wite vinegar (40oz or 8 cups) can be used. Press te On/Off Button and let te acine eat for 4 inutes. Ten press te On/Off Button to pause te acine. Let te vinegar soak for 30 inutes. Press te On/Off Button to re te acine and finis brew cycle. Run 3 or ore cycles wit full carafes of water to flus reaining vinegar fro brewer. Use BUNN paper filters tey are taller to prevent overflow. Be sure Sprayead is in place. If overflow continues, contact BUNN for a Flow Restrictor Sprayead. Warer plate atically suts off after 2 ours. To sut off anually, pus te On/Off Button (red ligt will turn off). 6

Tese coffee oils are difficult to see and can ipact te pour. To clean te Pour Spout, use a sall aount of ild detergent on te polised, siny area. Use a soft clot to scrub te siny area of te Pour Spout until te fil is gone. Wen finised, torougly rinse carafe and lid wit clean water.
