After two years of absence, the European Union Championships are back in the EUBC Calendar, this time with female boxing of all ages, including Elite, Youth and Junior boxers. Upon the great success of Women's Boxing worldwide, it is our great honor that European Union countries have a forum for their women compete. It is EUBC's responsibility to foster female boxing across our continent of all ages. I would like to especially thank the Hungarian Boxing Association for all of their hard work and dedication that they have paid to ensuring that this event was brought back into the EUBC Calendar and making it a reality. Women Boxers who were born between January 1, 1973 December 31, 1994 are eligible to participate (ages 19-40). B. The Championships will be staged in 10 Weight Categories: 45kg - 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 81+kg. Women s Youth A. Women s Boxers who were born between January 1, 1995 December 31, 1996 are eligible to participate (ages 17-18). B. The Championships will be staged in 10 Weight Categories: 45kg - 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 64kg, 69kg, 75kg, 81kg, 81+kg Women s Junior A. Girls Boxers who were born between January 1, 1997 December 31, 1998 are eligible to participate (ages 15-16).
B. The Championships will be staged in 13 Weight Categories: 44 kg - 46 kg, 48 kg, 50 kg, 52 kg, 54 kg, 57 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 66 kg,70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg and 80+ kg. 6. Number of Rounds Women Elite and Women s Youth Four (4) rounds of two (2) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds. Women s Junior Three (3) rounds of two (2) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds. 7. Scoring System New AIBA Scoring System will be used. 8. Referees & Judges All Referees & Judges (3 AIBA Stars only) will be appointed by their respective National Federation and confirmed by EUBC. 9. Registration A. Boxers: AIBA National Member Federations can send only one (1) boxer in each weight category One (1) reserve boxer per weight category may be entered in the final registration It is also permissible for a nation to substitute one (1) boxer for another at any time up to the close of the General Weigh-In and the Medical Examination, provided that the substitute boxer has been entered as a reserved one for that weight category or any other weight category All other cases of substitution shall be finalized the day before the General Weigh-In. B. Number of Team Officials: Each team can have the following number of officials in its delegation: o 1-4 boxers: 2 coaches + 1 R&J AIBA 3 Star
o 5-8 boxers: 3 coaches + 1 R&J AIBA 3 Star o 9-10 boxers: 4 coaches + 1 R&J AIBA 3 Star HUNGARIAN BOXING ASSOCIATION All coaches must have the AIBA certification which EUBC will check at the time of registration as without the AIBA certification, they will not be allowed to enter this event In addition, each team may be accompanied by one (1) Team Manager, one (1) team doctor and one (1) physiotherapist Only coaches and boxers will be allowed to enter the boxers locker rooms. 10. Requirements A. All Boxers must bring to the General Weigh-In the following documents: Boxer s AIBA Competition Record Book with annual medicals duly completed Passport Accreditation Card B. Each Team Delegation (every participating country) must bring the following: National flag 1x 1.50m National anthem (on MP3 or CD) C. Boxer s Uniform: Each boxer must bring two sets of uniform red and blue All uniforms must follow the AIBA uniform guidelines in the Rules. 11. Boxing Equipment The LOC will provide AIBA approved and licensed boxing gloves, headguards and hand bandages for all boxers and all bouts. Both boxing gloves and headguards are compulsory official items which all boxers must wear as they will not be allow to wear their personal ones. 12. Transportation A. Airport Reception: All participants will be welcomed at Budapest Airport B. Ground Transportation:
There will be a welcome desk to guide all teams to the ground transportation The LOC will provide local transportation from Budapest to Keszthely and between Hotel, Competition Venue and Training Venue(s) during the Championships Period The LOC will also provide local transportation Keszthely Budapest for all departures 13. Accommodation for Team Delegations A. Room Rates for Team Delegations are as follows: For single occupancy (1 person per room) o 90 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals For double occupancy (2 persons per room) o 70 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals For triple occupancy (1 person per room) o 70 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals C. HUNGARIAN BOXING ASSOCIATION On arrival, the Team Delegations must make the full payment of accommodation charges for the entire Championships Period Team Delegations will not be allowed to receive accreditations and hotel room keys if they do not clear the payment of full accommodation charges first. C. Check-In and Check-Out: The room rates provided for the competition only apply from June 30 until July 7, 2013 Team Delegations choosing to arrive earlier and/or stay longer than the Championships Period must pay a room rate of 100
Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals in double room or single room D. Extra Team Officials: No Extra Team Official is allowed to stay at the Team Delegation Hotel LOC assistance can only be given in finding rooms in a different hotel than the Team Delegation Hotel 14. Insurance Extra Team Officials: o 100 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals in double or single room All participants are requested to get their own travel and medical insurance. LOC recommends to each participant to have European Health Insurance Card. LOC will provide liability insurance only at the Competition Venue for all participants. 15. Medical Care The LOC will provide medical care and first-aid during the entire event to all participants who suffer from a sport injury (contracted during the event). 16. Doping Control Doping control shall be conducted in accordance with the AIBA Anti-Doping Rules and following the World Anti-Doping Code under the supervision of the AIBA Medical and Anti-Doping Sub-Commission. 17. Medals Gold, Silver and 2 (two) Bronze Medals will be awarded along with diplomas to the winners in each weight category. 18. Training Facility The LOC will provide required training facilities (information will be provided upon arrival).
19. Registration A. The preliminary registration form is to be sent by email at info@boxing.hu by April 15, 2013 B. The final registration form along with the passport copies of all boxers and travel details form is to be sent at info@boxing.hu by May 15, 2013 Final entries will be accepted if the country has transferred 20 percent of the fee in advance payment before 15 May, 2013. 20. Visa The LOC will grant assistance to all delegations on visa matters. 21.
