THANK YOU! Thank you, prayer partner, for your desire and willingness To open your heart to the heart of a child To invest yourself emotionally and sacrificially To prayerfully and faithfully support "your" mentor To use your spiritual gift of intercession for the cause of the kingdom Please know that your work is vital to the success of our mission to be "Jesus with skin on" for these children. Your mentor believes in the power of prayer and is depending on you for your participation and commitment to pray. Please use the pages of this notebook to assist you in finding new, fresh ways to pray for the specific needs and concerns of your child and your mentor and to record the prayer requests you receive from your mentor and the answers given. Know and believe that your work, your thoughts and your prayers, will have a profound effect in the life of your child and your mentor. Your mentor will give you a sheet containing some basic personal information on your child as well as the scheduled time for their mentoring session (Prayer Partner Information Letter). Expect to be in weekly contact with your mentor for updates and new prayer requests. Please pray daily for your child and mentor, and fir their relationship. Be in prayer for them also during the time of their mentoring session, if possible. CONFIDENTIALITY Your mentor must keep some matters confidential, so the reports and requests you receive, though a bit specific, may be of a more general nature. The parents have given consent for the mentor to be a part of their child's life but they are not aware that a prayer partner is also involved. Though you are welcome to ask questions, please do not pry for more information than your mentor feels they may share. You are asked to keep matters regarding your child and mentor confidential as well. Please use great caution in sharing wonderful things that are happening in the life of your child or the challenges that are being presented. We never know who knows whom, or who is listening that might be related to your particular child. You are being given privileged, confidential information. As we see results from our work, we will determine the best ways to share testimonies without revealing any identities. Please allow us to use that means to inform others of God's work among us. If you ever have any questions about this please ask before sharing! You will be kept informed of the progress of our KIDS HOPE USA team in many ways. You will receive updates through me, your Director. You will also receive the KHUSA quarterly newsletter "Voices of Hope". Be sure to check out the section especially for Prayer Partners, "Behind the Scenes". Please contact me if you have concerns that need to be addressed or if you have suggestions that might benefit the effectiveness of our program. With gratitude for you! KIDS HOPE USA Director
