Applications The LV range pumps are intended for handling drinking or service water of temperature up to 80 C without mechanical impurities. The pumps are frequently used in municipal as well as industrial water works, in water fire fighting pumping stations, in irrigation systems, etc. Description The pumps are of centrifugal, multistage design, with radial flow impellers and horizontal axis. They consist of a rotor and a stator with bearings and stuffing boxes. THE STATOR of the pump is assembled from stage casings sealed with rubber sealing rings and clamped between the suction and the discharge bodies into one integral subassembly by means of clamping bolts which are arranged outside the pump body. The pump stands on foots which are situated on stage casings. Because the suction body has no foots it is possible to turn it at different arrangements. THE ROTOR of the pump consists of shaft and of one-sided inlet impellers which are fixed with keys and tightened by means of bushes with nuts. The shaft is supported on ball bearings at both sides. Driven end of the shaft is taken out at discharge side of the pump. There are balancing holes in impellers to equalise (partly) the hydraulic axial force of the rotor. The remaining part of the axial force is taken up with bearings. The complete rotor is statically balanced so that smooth operation of the pump is ensured. THE STUFFING BOX of the pump is gland packing type. Quality of gland packing cord is chosen according to properties of pumped liquid. Material Design LN - Suction body, discharge body, diffusers, impellers, bearing covers, packing covers, shaft sleeves, distance rings and flooding bushes are made of grey cast iron. Shaft, clamping bolts and nuts are made of steel. Stage bushes and wearing rings are made of brass or bronze. LB - Impellers are made of bronze. Arrangement of Branches The suction branch - standard arrangement is downwards ( so called S-180 position) On the request it is possible to supply also suction branch in arrangements S-90 and S-270. The discharge branch is always pointed upwards. ( so called T-0 position ) Direction of Rotation The pumps are clockwise turning units when viewing from drive side. Range of Delivery Generally, the following ranges in accordance with ÈSN 110021 are available. Range 1 the pump only with bare end shaft Range 2 the pump with complete flexible coupling Range 3 the pump with complete flexible coupling and with common base plate for pump and electric motor, but without the motor Range 9 Range 10 Range 11 the pump coupled with complete flexible coupling to electric motor mounted on common base plate the pump coupled with complete flexible coupling to petrol engine mounted on common base plate the pump coupled with complete flexible coupling to diesel engine mounted on common base plate Standard Accessories One set of gland packing cord is supplied with each pump. If base plate is part of our delivery set of foundation bolts is supplied, too. Holes for connection of pressure gauge and vacuum gauge are plugged.
