He initially started in the construction of the Phase 1 of the 2 x 120MW Sultan Iskandar Power Station project in Pasir Gudang, Johor and after completion of the project he moved on to the Phase 1 of the 2 x 300MW Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Power Station project in Kapar, Selangor. He left for a study break in 1984. In 1991, after his studies, he was stationed back to the Generation and Projects Department at TNB Headquarters in Bangsar for project development work including assessing the technical feasibilities, financing and socio-economic aspects of new projects such as the; (a) (b) (c) (d) I 180MW Gas Conversion project at Sultan Iskandar Power Station, 180MW Gas Turbine project at Sultan Ismail Power Station in Paka, 540MW ABB 13E Gas Turbine & 100MW Siemens V94.2 Combined Cycle Gas Turbine projects at Connaught Bridge Power Station, and The Plant Rehab & Gas Conversion project at Tuanku Jaafar Power Station. His Venture in Independent Power Producer (IPP) n November 1992, Azmi left TNB to pursue a more challenging career with an Independent Power Producer and was employed, as a Project Manager with Sikap Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company between Sikap Power Sdn Bhd (75%) and ABB Energy Ventures (25%), which was later taken over by Malakoff Berhad. The company s sole purpose was to develop a RM4 Billion 1303MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project, which was later known as the Lumut Power Plant. On 1 st June 1993, Azmi was promoted to General Manager and was responsible in all aspects of the project including financing, and to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget. He was also responsible to deliver all project documents (such as Financing Documents, Power Purchase and Fuel Supply Agreements, land approval, environmental permits, project insurances and generating license) necessary to secure the financial close for the project. The project was completed 6 months ahead of schedule. Page 4 of 7

During his tenor in implementing the project, other than the financial aspects, Azmi was heavily involved in dealing with local authorities and villager s representatives to resolve issues relating to the livelihood of the villagers and their social well-being. He was instrumental in ensuring that the project will not have any detrimental effect on nearby communities thus promoting the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He implemented the concept of adopting all nearby national schools (including Indian and Chinese schools), builds a mosque, sponsored computer labs in schools and promoted educational visits to the power plant for school children. Subsequently, on 1 st March 1996, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Segari Energy Ventures (formerly Sikap Energy Ventures) Sdn Bhd (SEV). His main task was to ensure that the power plant is operated and maintained to a level that will give the predicted (or better) returns to shareholders and that obligations within the Financing Covenants, Power Purchase and Fuel Supply Agreements are not breached in any way. I Another IPP Development n September 2000, Azmi left Malakoff for another IPP project. He joined Jimah Power Sdn Bhd (JPSB) as the Managing Director. JPSB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jimah Power Holdings Sdn Bhd (JPH); a company owned by the Royal Family of Negeri Sembilan. JPSB has a licence to develop a RM6 Billion 1400MW Coal Fired Power Plant to be located at Mukim Jimah, Negeri Sembilan. Azmi s main challenge when he joined, other than to ensure successful financing for the project and to negotiate project documents such as the Power Purchase Agreement, was to identify a capable and suitable co-developer for JPH. As at 10 May 2001, JPH entered into a Joint Development Agreement with YTL Power International Berhad (YTL) to jointly develop the coal-fired IPP, where JPH holds 51% and YTL the balance 49%. Subsequently, JPH and YTL formed a joint venture company named Jimah Power Generation Sdn Bhd, where Azmi heads the company as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the CEO, Azmi can be expected to repeat his accomplishments and particularly his achievements of promoting CSR and a caring corporate philosophy. D His Transmission Line Project Experience uring the Phase 1 and 1A of the Peninsula Malaysia 500kV Transmission Line Project undertaken by Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), Azmi assisted MRCB in providing effective liaison with the relevant departments of TNB, specifically the Transmission and Wayleave Departments. His experience in social work contributed to the smooth delivery of the transmission project. A His Reclamation Project Experience zmi was also the Project Coordinator for the Lekir Islands Development under Desa Kilat Sdn Bhd. This project entails reclamation of land (man made island). The first phase of this island (1000 acres) is where the current 2100MW TNB Janamanjung coal fired power plant is sited. After the completion of the Lekir Island and ensuring that the local community has been cared for, Azmi, who is strongly rooted in the Electricity and Gas Supply Industry, came to identify the need for new electricity generation plant-ups for the future. This prompted him to promote the development of another 650MW block (called GB3) for the Lumut Power Plant. Page 5 of 7

A Middle East Training zmi was also Head of Middle East Operations pursuing power projects in the Middle East Region, where Malakoff (SEV s parent company) is active in the State of Oman and Qatar. Apart from the Middle East, Azmi also did development work for Malakoff in other parts of the ASEAN region namely Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam and India. F Azmi as his own Boss rom his years of experience, in 2003 Azmi formed A&Z Power Consult Sdn Bhd (AZPC), a consultancy platform for developing energy related projects. It provides engineering consulting services related to the Electricity and Gas Supply Industry. AZPC is staffed by professionals who are experts in legal, environmental, project finance, risk engineering and management, studies and implementation of transmission system and substations and project development work. Azmi also founded Forward Energy Sdn. Bhd. (FESB) to pursue power plant development on an IPP basis. On his own in Malaysia B etween 2003 and 2004, Azmi through AZPC was entrusted with the Due Diligence exercise for the acquisition of the Sutera Harbour power plant in the state of Sabah, a private co-generation plant serving the Sutera Harbour Hotels and Marina as well as the surrounding areas. The Lion Group, a big-name steel industry player in Malaysia had also engaged AZPC to assess the feasibility of constructing a captive gas or coal-fired captive power plant for their steel milling facilities. Azmi has played an instrumental role in contributing ideas to the Electricity Supply Industry in the state of Sabah. Azmi was a proponent in addressing the power shortage problems in Sabah through the development of gas-fired combined cycle power plants and promotion of a 300MW coal-fired thermal power plant in Eastern Sabah. In 2006, Azmi through AZPC was entrusted with the Due Diligence exercise and was instrumental in the acquisition of Ranhill EPE Switchgear Sdn Bhd by Mutiara Powertech Sdn Bhd. Ranhill EPE Switchgear is a manufacturer and assembler of switchgears for the electrical industry for local and international market. In 2008, Azmi was also instrumental in providing assistance and advice to Pesaka Ventures Sdn Bhd on the acquisition of Teknologi Tenaga Perlis Consortium, the owner of the 650MW IPP in Perlis. Azmi was also involved in the final negotiation of the PPA for SPR Energy (M) Sdn Bhd, another gas fired combined cycle IPP of 100MW capacity in Kimanis, Sabah. The PPA was signed on 15 January 2010. Azmi, as the Technical Director in SPR, is expected to manage the project until completion. AZPC will also play the role as Project Manager which will include forming the Operations and Management Company for SPR Energy (M) Sdn Bhd. The expected commercial operation of this IPP is in October 2013. A Venturing into Indonesia zmi is also extensively involved in the Indonesian Power Sector where he has diligently pursued existing and Greenfield power projects. Azmi s role was to provide Due Diligence and Feasibility Studies on numerous power projects ranging from 7MW to 1200MW for various power developers, including equity in a 300MW Coal Mine Mouth Power Plant in Kalimantan. He has strong links with coal concession owners. Page 6 of 7

N Venturing into Middle East either Azmi nor AZPC is a stranger in the Middle Eastern energy sector, with his extensive networking contacts in the political, governmental, business and technical circles in the region. AZPC through its strategic alliance with FESB has been active in pursuing energy related opportunities in the region. In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), FESB is currently pursuing electricity related and oil and gas projects through a joint venture with a major UAE company in Abu Dhabi. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Azmi through FESB is collaborating with a major Saudi company to look into potentials in acquiring power generating assets and developing Greenfield power plant projects. FESB through its partner in the KSA will jointly pursue and co-develop opportunities in other infrastructure projects specifically the waste to energy projects utilizing Green Technology. By far, Azmi s involvement in the Middle East is most pronounced in the Republic of Yemen, where FESB has been awarded and/or considered for spectra of projects ranging from IPPs, Electricity Transmission, Gas Pipeline, Sea Port, Hotel, Marina and Property Development. In the Republic of Yemen, FESB is currently forming a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with the Yemen Government to undertake the development and ownership of a 150MW gas turbine IPP and another 450MW CCGT IPP. The Yemen Government, through its Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) and the General Authority for Social Insurance and Pensions, will have a 35% shareholding in the JVC. F Promoting Green Technology ESB is now promoting Green Technology from the United States of America called the Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC). FESB has acquired the technology through a Licensing Agreement with an American Company specialized in integration of existing systems for the purpose of improving efficiencies. Together with the American Company, FESB will be commercializing the new system for power generation using the SOFC system as the prime mover. Fuel Cells are Green Technology as there is no combustion involved in the production of electricity. In parallel, Azmi is also actively pursuing Green Technology projects and promoting the SOFC system for Distributed and Centralized Generation as he believes the future of power generation will be through successful commercialization of the SOFC system and providing affordable electricity tariff for the masses so as to ensure sustainability of our future generation. - End of Biography - Page 7 of 7
