Exterior accessory testing, for example, includes: Exposure to up to two years of direct sunlight known as Florida Weathering. Heat Ageing Test for 500 hours. Extreme Heat Test ranging from -40 C to 80 C. Heat Shock Testing during which parts are cooled to -40 C for 16 hours, then heated to 70 C for 5 minutes. Humidity Resistance Test where accessories are subjected to 168 hours at 48 C in 95-100% humidity. Accelerated Environmental Cycle Testing comprising a relentless barrage of salt, dirt and dust to simulate real world driving.
