Background TriomiX is designated to ensure a safe and correct mixing of the sample in connection with sampling. TriomiX will give you a more ergonomic way to work as a prolonged manuell mixing may give rise to attritional injury. Accreditation of laboratory analysis is an important part in improvement of the quality level. Triolab AB can offer an unique battery-operated rocker for blood samples, TriomiX, which directly starts the quality work on the sampling occasion. TriomiX give you a well mixed sample for a correct analytical result and reduces the risk for attritional injury. You can use all kinds of vaccutainer tubes as the speed of TriomiX is possible to regulate (3 rates). TriomiX has unique features as littleness and is battery-powered with a rechargeable Li-ion 3.7 V battery. The battery is recharged with the enclosed battery charger. The TriomiX is manufactured in Sweden. 3
Assembly TriomiX Tray Clamp Remove the TriomiX from the packaging and check for following items: TriomiX device Tray for holding the samples tubes Clamp Battery-charger Operator s Manual Hold the clamp so that the round hole is pointing towards the left side of the clamp.push the tube tray in position on the clamp properly. 4
Assembly, continued There is a hole on each side of the legs of the clamp. One is circular and the other quadrangular. On both side of the device is a spindle that fits into the holes of the clamps. First, fit in the circular hole on corresponding spindle, then carefully enlarge the clamp and put the quadrangular hole over the other spindle. TriomiX is now assembled and it is ready for use! 5
Description of the function There are two push keys on the panel. The lower key is marked x 10 Cont and the top key is marked Short Medium Long. By pushing the x 10 Cont key starts the TriomiX. x 10 Cont Push the key to start. This key gives you the choice to select continuously or rock 10 times. Position 1: If the LED flashes with a green light, the TriomiX makes 10 rocking motions and thereafter stops. Position 2: If the LED is out (no light) it will rock until the battery is flat. To stop the rocking, just push the x 10 Cont and it causes the LED to flash again and after 10 rocking motions it stops. Note! You can never stop the TriomiX directly. The purpose of the functionality of this key is to give the feature of continuously action during loading of sample tubes and when the last sample tube is loaded on the tray you switch to a tenfold rocking Short Medium Long The faster the TriomiX rocks the faster LED flashes. Through pushing the key again you can change the speed of the TriomiX. The TriomiX has 3 different speeds: The diameter of the tube determine if speed 2 or 3 should be chosen. The slowest speed is chosen (speed 3) with a tube of small diameter. The air bubble must have time to rise and turn. Push the key for Short Medium Long anytime during rocking operation and it will change the speed of the rocker. Speed 1: Adapted to normal tubes. Speed 2: Adapted to sedimentation tubes. Speed 3: Adapted to thin sedimentation tubes. 6
Battery charging When a red LED flashes you need to charge the battery. The TriomiX is charged with the Battery charger. The LED turns from a flashing red light to a steady red LED light which is shown during charging. The LED lights go out when the charging is complete. It is possible to operate the TriomiX during re-charging of the battery. 7
