Reincarnation and Karma Lesson 1 Page 1 What is your intention for taking this course? What present issue do you want to shift or heal? I. Reincarnation The concept of Reincarnation states that the individual soul is born into a series of lifetimes and physical bodies, existing in an energetic (or some believe heavenly) realm between incarnations. This philosophy has been embraced throughout time, not only in the Far East and Mid East, but also by the ancient Greeks, Druids, many American Indian tribes, by Jews before and during the time of Jesus, and though few realize this by Jesus himself. II. Karma Karma is often defined as the Law of Cause and Effect, but it is the energy of our accumulated choices, conclusions, and emotions that becomes encoded in our eternal consciousness, directing our present and future destiny. It s not punishment or reward, just a return of energy and it can be cleared, rescripted, healed, and redirected. III. The Truth About Karma 1. Karma IS NOT: Punishment or payback for former misdeeds. Karma IS: An exchange, return, or understanding of energy. Some lessons your soul chooses are not karmic, but are soul intentions for expansion. 2. Karma IS NOT: Predetermined, predestined fate. Karma IS: Changing, flexible, mutable. As your consciousness shifts, so does your karma. 3. Karma IS NOT: Episodic and specific. Karma IS: Issue related. As you heal the issue and learn the lesson, all related karma is released even from this and other lifetimes. Karma has 2 main purposes: 1. To allow us to experience and understand the energies we may have perpetuated in the past; 2. To help us learn important lessons that may have eluded us in previous existences lessons that are not only important for our own loving enlightenment, but also for the expansion of love in the Universe. By understanding the energy and learning the lesson, you are shifting your encoded consciousness, healing the issue itself, changing present patterns and future results.

IV. The Nature of Time and Energy Lesson 1 Page 2 1. M Theory says that everything exists on vibrating membranes of energy and information. These membranes can carry whole universes, even parallel universes of time and experience. 2. Time/Space Continuum Although it may be hard to comprehend, modern science indicates through the time/space continuum that all time exists at the same time. The difference between now and then lies in the density of vibration. This allows us to visit past and future and can explain déjà vu, psychism, and retrieving past life information. A (PAST) X (PRESENT) B Y C (FUTURE) V. Karmic Clues Information about your past lives can easily be seen in your present patterns. Looking for these indicators can help open the portal to the past. There are 4 major arenas where present karmic clues can reveal past-life information. They are the following.

1. Talents, personal preferences, inclinations, or aversions Lesson 1 Page 3 1. A. What climates do you tend to prefer? 1. B. Are you drawn to certain locations like big cities, ocean beaches, or white-capped mountains? Even the countries that you or your ancestors have come from can indicate past-life connections. 1. C. What are your likes and dislikes where your personal style is concerned? What are your preferences or aversions in terms of art, music, architecture, clothing styles, cultures, and religions? Jot down your likes and dislikes in all of these arenas. What do you think they indicate in terms of location, era, and other potential elements of past-life experience? 2. Chronic problems (physical, emotional, financial) 2. A. Take a moment to jot down some of the physical conditions you ve had to deal with in this life. Do they bring to mind any potential past-life connections? What do you think is the message or the lesson they may hold for you? 2. B. Do you have any allergies? If so, how and when do they manifest, and what do you think they represent? Could specific occupations or locations be involved? What about skin or respiratory conditions? 2. C. What are the emotional moods you tend to live in? Do you have any fears, depression, or obsessions that affect you regularly? What do they reveal about your upbringing and about the beliefs you re still embracing now? Childhood stuff can reveal past-life potential as well. Release false past conclusions along with present toxic beliefs in order to foster a greater sense of well-being and self-esteem. This helps to establish your new code. 2. D. Think of any addictions you may have. Do you engage in too much of any substance, whether it be food, cigarettes, or drugs of any kind? There are also addictive activities, such as shopping, work, the Internet, video or online games, gambling, and sex. Could you be engaging in any of these as well? If so, what lessons are these habits bringing to you? Release and balance our often karmic lessons.

3. Inherited or genetic patterns, scars, birthmarks Lesson 1 Page 4 3. A. Have you had any surgeries or injuries that could indicate an old trauma still holding a lesson for you? Consider what past event may have triggered this present experience. 3. B. Scars and birthmarks can also indicate past traumatic events. 4. Relationship patterns and personal lessons 1. Consider your relationships with family members, friends, lovers, co-workers, etc. Do you see any patterns in how you deal with others or how they deal with you? What are the lessons you may have brought forward from previous lives? Remember, these patterns often also hold some lessons about your relationship with yourself. VI. Your Encoded Consciousness Your eternal encoded consciousness contains specific information about who you are, what you've been through, and how you've responded. This soul record becomes a part of your energetic makeup and holds all of the things that make you you, including: 1. The hidden "memories" of past events and the emotional responses to those events, including fear, rejection, joy, and excitement. 2. Core conclusions based on those events and emotions, especially regarding your value, worthiness, safety, and power as well as the power of others. 3. Physical issues and the conclusions built around them. 4. Soul intentions for lessons and personal growth. IMPORTANT PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT SESSION: Consider which important present-life issue you want to find out about in our next session. We will be doing a Focused Regression, so it will be helpful to know the specific issue from this life that you want to heal or shift. It can be a physical, emotional, financial or relationship concern, but pick only one for this particular regression.

Karmic Sources Lesson 2 Page 1 The following motivations are the six major reasons why souls incarnate, and they often hold within them the causes of your karmic circumstances. 1. Desire (The choice to experience and feel.) Desire is a part of life, and a significant factor in your soul s directive. With each evolving life, your longings may have shifted. They may have been fulfilled; or perhaps they ve become even more compelling and deeply encoded. When engaged in the higher desires, such as loving expression, connection, and compassion, the more positive energies and vibrations of life will be encoded in your karmic intentions. If, on the other hand, the lower vibrations of desire (those that are ego driven, fear based, or overly attached) become the stronger force, then it s possible that more difficulties can become encoded. Fear or attachment can turn desire into desperation, a highly charged emotion that creates imbalance, blocking the very thing you re longing for. Unattached desire is enjoyment without addiction, pursuit without fear, and accomplishment without ego. 1. List some of your personal dreams and desires. Are you feeling any fear or attachment? 2. Consider what your soul may be desiring in this life and list that also. 3. How can you bring these two lists together and make these goals part of your daily life? 2. Growth and Learning (The choice to understand and evolve.) The soul evolves through many different rites of passage. The eternal plan is to keep experiencing and moving forward, to continue to arrive at new levels of understanding, and to assist others in their process as well. As we advance to levels of greater enlightenment, we begin to perceive life in a different way. Instead of measuring ourselves only by significant events and major acquisitions, we can move into the soul s point of view and measure ourselves by our eternal value. The soul never intends to suffer just for the sake of suffering. There s always a lesson, a gift for us or for someone else, a transformation into something far greater. Even in deep grief there is value. Pain and loneliness often force us to look inside and go deeper. If we re willing to experience the emotions, feel the grief, ventilate it, and then ask the right questions, we ll be able to utilize the experience to move on.

Lesson 2 Page 2 1. What do you feel are some of the lessons you came here to learn? Some common lessons are self-love, releasing fear or conflict, connecting with spirit, & compassion for others. 2. Could these or any others be life lessons for you? If so, which ones? 3. How do you plan to make your lessons a priority? What action in behavior, selftalk, or spiritual pursuit can you take? 4. Affirm your intentions to do so often. 3. Karmic Repetition (The choice to repeat or learn to let go.) The soul s choice to repeat is one of our strongest karmic causes. It s easy to see why we d want to repeat the gratifying experiences, such as truly loving relationships and enjoyable talents and hobbies, but we can be equally attached to negative influences and difficult times. Our more fiercely held habits whether healthy or not become deeply encoded in our consciousness, compelling us to come back to repeat the experience. Eventually, however, the personality will be called upon to release toxic attachments and reestablish balance and pure motivation. Repetition is driven by our familiar feelings, even if we can t always identify or understand them. We do, however, have it within our power to rise above the drive for familiarity and to arrive at a healthier place where honoring, not habit, is our sole (and soul) motivation. In the eternal scheme of things, there s purpose in every coming together and in every letting go. 1. What habits, relationships, or activities do you think you may be repeating from a past life? 2. Are these healthy and honoring to you? If not, what needs to change? 3. What do you think your soul wants you to do in these cases?

Lesson 2 Page 3 4. Karmic Compensation (The choice to reverse energy patterns.) The pattern of compensation becomes a karmic cause when an extreme experience in one life causes us to overreact in another. In this case, a strong desire to reverse the energy of past experiences makes us go too far in the other direction. This adjustment will often be so extreme that it creates the polar opposite experience in this life. Perpetual longing is a primary karmic cause for compensation. If an unhappy or uncomfortable condition exists for an extended period of time, a desire for its reversal takes hold. Since any perpetual wish becomes encoded, it can create unexpected circumstances in your next life. 1. What are the extreme imbalances in your life? 2. Meditate on the source of these or you can direct a regression to find out. 3. Could a present extreme be a compensation for a past opposite experience? Consider what the lesson could be. (Hint: balance is often a karmic directive.) 5. Karmic Retribution (The choice to learn how certain energy feels.) Both compensation and retribution represent an energetic pendulum swinging from one extreme to another with one important difference. Compensation is a reversal of energetic experience, while retribution is a return of your own outgoing energy; and it almost always has something to do with the way you ve treated people (either individuals or groups) in the past. This is your soul s intention to learn what that vibration feels like. The energy of retribution in your eternal life will often manifest in the form of role reversals, where two people take turns giving and receiving highly charged treatment until that cycle is broken. Although it manifests most often in parent-child or husbandwife relationships, this back-and-forth pattern can happen between any two people who ve had emotional encoding with each other. 1. Do you have any annoying or even hostile relationships in your life? One possible karmic cause could be a role reversal of retribution. 2. Meditate on this possibility and consider if this resonates with you ore not. 3. We will be talking more about relationship and shared karma in Session 4, but in the meantime, create the intention to release any old toxic attachment to difficult relationships and reclaim your authentic power now.

Lesson 2 Page 4 6. Service (The choice to expand loving energy.) Service is a compelling motivation for the soul. It s one of the greatest expressions of love; and when it s genuinely given, it projects one of the highest vibrations. In its purest state, this is a genuine, unattached longing to promote good in your life and the lives of those around you. But don t confuse genuine acts of service with behavioral patterns of people pleasing. The need to gain approval in this way is born out of fear of rejection. In this case, your intention is motivated by the sentiment, I have to do this in order to be accepted. This is a distortion of your soul truth, for you deserve to be accepted just the way you are. 1. When you choose to help others in any way, what is your emotional response? Joy or pleasure are signals of pure service. Resentment is a signal of obligation, feeling stuck, imbalanced service, or the inability to set boundaries. 2. What are some ways you can engage in service with a joyous heart? What are some of the ways you are already doing this perhaps without even knowing it. Karmic Shifting Techniques 1. Focused Regression. Focusing on a present issue with the directive to regress back to a time when the source of the problem or conflict took place. Discovering the source event, and releasing the toxic emotions and conclusions based on that event. 2. Rescripting Encoded Information. Rewriting the narrative of the event, creating a beneficial outcome in the meditative state with comfortable feelings and empowered conclusions. Progressing to the time after the new event revealing a long, healthy, happy and fulfilled life. IMPORTANT PREPARATION FOR THE NEXT SESSION Consider past-life information regarding the issue you are working on. Plan a new version of the source event which gives you power and comfort in the situation. Determine the new outcome, emotions, and conclusions that you want to create.
