Blessed Scripture Verses In The New Testament (Matthew 5:3-11) "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. {4} Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. {5} Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. {6} Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. {7} Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. {8} Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. {9} Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. {10} Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. {11} "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. (Matthew 11:6) Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me." (Matthew 13:16) But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. (Matthew 16:17) Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 21:9) The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Hosanna in the highest!" (Matthew 23:39) For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'" (Matthew 25:34) "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (Mark 10:16) And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. (Mark 11:9-10) Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, "Hosanna! " "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" {10} "Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!" "Hosanna in the highest!" (Mark 14:61) But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" (Luke 1:42) In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! (Luke 1:45) Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" Page 1 of 5

(Luke 1:46-49) And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord {47} and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, {48} for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, {49} for the Mighty One has done great things for me-- holy is his name. (Luke 2:34) Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, (Luke 6:20-22) Looking at his disciples, he said: "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. {21} Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. {22} Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. (Luke 6:28) bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 7:23) Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me." (Luke 10:23) Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. (Luke 11:27-28) As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." {28} He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." (Luke 13:35) Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'" (Luke 14:13-15) But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, {14} and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." {15} When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God." (Luke 19:38) "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" (Luke 23:29) For the time will come when you will say, 'Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!' (Luke 24:50-51) When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. {51} While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Page 2 of 5

(John 1:16) From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. (John 12:13) They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna! " "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the King of Israel!" (John 13:17) Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. (John 20:29) Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." (Acts 3:25-26) And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, 'Through your offspring all peoples on earth will be blessed.' {26} When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways." (Acts 13:34) The fact that God raised him from the dead, never to decay, is stated in these words: "'I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.' (Acts 15:33) After spending some time there, they were sent off by the brothers with the blessing of peace to return to those who had sent them. (Acts 20:35) In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" (Romans 4:7-8) "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. {8} Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him." (Romans 12:14) Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. (Romans 14:22) So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. (Romans 15:27) They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings. (Romans 15:29) I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ. (1 Corinthians 4:12) We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; (1 Corinthians 9:23) I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. Page 3 of 5

(Galatians 3:8-9) The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: "All nations will be blessed through you." {9} So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. (Galatians 3:14) He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. (Ephesians 1:3) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Titus 2:13-14) while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, {14} who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. (Hebrews 6:7) Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. (Hebrews 6:13-14) When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, {14} saying, "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants." (Hebrews 7:1) This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, (Hebrews 7:6-7) This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. {7} And without doubt the lesser person is blessed by the greater. (Hebrews 11:20-21) By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future. {21} By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff. (Hebrews 12:17) Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears. (James 1:12) Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:25) But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does. Page 4 of 5

(James 5:11) As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. (1 Peter 3:9) Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. (1 Peter 3:14) But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened." (1 Peter 4:14) If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (Revelation 1:3) Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. (Revelation 14:13) Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them." (Revelation 16:15) "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed." (Revelation 19:9) Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'" And he added, "These are the true words of God." (Revelation 20:6) Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Revelation 22:7) "Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book." (Revelation 22:14) "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Page 5 of 5
