1. WHO IS COVERED BY THE INSURANCE? The insurance covers the person (the insured) in whose name a Sydbank MasterCard Business Platinum has been issued as well as the accompanying spouse/cohabiting partner/registered partner of the insured who is registered with the national register at the insured s address, and any children/adopted children/separate children up to and including 23 years of age. The insurance only provides coverage in the event where a spouse/cohabiting partner/registered partner and children are travelling with the insured. Insurance coverage is on the same terms as the insurance coverage for the insured. It is a condition for cover that the insured is covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme in Denmark, Norway or Sweden or that the insured has access to comparable private or public insurance coverage in the insured s country of domicile within Europe. The insurance does not cover persons whose country of domicile is outside Europe. 2. WHEN IS THE INSURANCE EFFECTIVE? The insurance is effective for the term of the card. If the insurance is taken out at a later time than at the beginning of the trip, the insurance will not be effective until from this later time, or when the insurance premium has been charged to the insured s Sydbank MasterCard Business Platinum by Sydbank A/S. Coverage will at all events be conditional upon the insurance agreement between If Skadeforsikring, branch of If Skadeförsäkring AB (publ), Sweden, and Sydbank A/S being effective. When the insurance premium has been paid, the insurance will provide cover from the time when the insured leaves his home address, place of residence or place of work in the country of domicile in order to commence his trip. The travel insurance will terminate when the insured returns to his home address, place of residence or place of work (or when the insurance term expires, where this takes place before the return of the insured). The insurance does not provide cover during transportation between the insured s home address and place of work and vice versa. 3. WHERE DOES THE INSURANCE COVER? The insurance provides worldwide cover on business and holiday trips. The maximum duration of each trip is sixty days. On holiday trips within Europe of a duration in excess of thirty days (see 44.7. Europe ) this insurance will become effective when coverage via the National Health Insurance Scheme expires after one month. However this insurance will provide worldwide coverage for covers under 5.2. d) and e) also on trips within Europe for up to sixty days per trip. The following types of trips are not covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme: Business trips Business trips or study tours combined with holiday Study tours when registered with a foreign educational establishment Trips abroad to seek employment Practical training Other trips where the purpose is not holiday or study eg relief work, other unpaid/voluntary relief work All trips where financial support is provided, including but not limited to wage subsidies and expenses relating to transportation, accommodation, meals etc. 3.1. Exclusions The insurance does not provide cover in the country where the insured has his permanent residence and/or the right to receive social benefits. 4. TRAVEL SERVICE Travel service consists of a number of services available to the insured before and during his trip. 4.1. Before departure service If requested SOS International a/s will provide information on the conditions pertaining to health, inoculations, doctors and hospitals in the area and risks. 4.2. Medical pre-evaluation Prior to a trip abroad, the insured may contact SOS International a/s in order to find out whether a specific disorder is covered by the insurance. It is recommended that the insured makes his inquiry to SOS International a/s well in advance. With respect to the evaluation, the insured must submit a copy of the report from the attending hospital or a statement from his own doctor including the following information: Name, address and CPR number of the insured Travel destination and travel period (date of departure and duration of trip) 2

Diagnosis and first appearance of illness Course of illness and treatment within the past six months Any change in medication Doctor s consultations in addition to routine check-ups Any planned treatment 4.3. Legal aid When travelling around the world the insured may be held liable for personal injury or damage to property or be accused of violating local laws. The insured may also sustain an injury or incur damage for which he would like to be compensated. As a consequence of language problems and cultural and political differences, it will often be difficult to find out what is going on and how to react. One could feel pressurized into giving in to even quite unreasonable demands and admissions. In such cases it is very important that the insured does not sign any declarations or statements or enter into agreements without having been in contact with SOS International a/s. Therefore if legal assistance is needed the insured must always contact: SOS International a/s The local Danish embassy/the local Danish consulate on site The travel guide if the trip has been arranged through a travel agency And state: the name, address, policy number and CPR number of the person who is in need of help. If you are being detained it will often be an advantage to contact the local consulate or the local embassy immediately. 4.5. Provision of money If the insured loses or has stolen all his cash funds, traveller s cheques or credit cards while travelling outside his country of domicile, SOS International a/s will arrange for cash funds to be forwarded to the insured (up to DKK 7,500).
