Sale Guidelines/Rules and Consignor Information SALE: ABBA Spring Select Brahman Sale WHEN: Saturday, April 30, 2016; 1:00 p.m. WHERE: Equine Sales; Opelousas, Louisiana SELLING: An elite offering of registered red and grey Brahman genetics. Offering will include pairs, bred and open females, halter broken show prospects, and herd bull prospects. Flushes and pregnancies out of top bloodlines in the breed will also be offered. This sale is before the AJBA ownership deadline. BRAHMAN FEMALES: Must be young and in great condition with gentle disposition. Females cannot be older than 7 years by April 2016. BRAHMAN BULLS: Must be at least 18-months-old, fertility tested, and meet trich requirements for Louisiana. Bulls must be in great condition with a gentle disposition. Only virgin bulls will be accepted. NOTE: All cattle will be screened and only animals of top quality and condition for a premium sale will be accepted. REGISTRATION PAPERS: All registration papers must be given to sale management at the time of nomination and all cattle must be registered in the consignor s name. No cattle will be allowed in this sale without original registration papers. A short description of the animal must be supplied by the consignor to be listed in the catalog. Submission of pictures is optional and those submitted will be used at the discretion of the sale management. NOMINATIONS: Nomination deadline is March 11, 2016. Nomination forms may be obtained on the ABBA website at www.brahman. org or at. You can email your signed nomination forms to mcharanza@airplexus.com or cshivers@brahman.org. Please contact the ABBA or BTCM if you would like a form mailed to you. EAR TAGS: Numbered ear tags will be mailed to each consignor after nomination form and original registration papers are received by sale management. Each ear tag number will be assigned to a specific animal. SALE CHARGES: Commission of 12% will be charged. Full commission will be charged on the final bid if any animals are not sold. The ABBA and Broken Triangle Cattle Marketing will advertise and promote this sale in a manner to assure a premium sale. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: Each consignor will comply with applicable rules and regulations of the Louisiana Animal Health Commission. Upon arrival at sale facility, the consignor must present to the office staff, the original Official Health Certificate of the State of Origin issued within 30 days of sale date (April 30, 2016) by an accredited veterinarian. If you are an out of state consignor, 1

please have your veterinarian contact the Louisiana Animal Health Commission for up to date requirements to enter and sell cattle in the State of Louisiana, in addition to the following requirements: No brucellosis or TB tests required. All cattle must have a permanent brand # with corresponding ear tag # listed on the health certificate. All females must be an Official Brucellosis Calfhood Vaccinate. Vaccination tattoo must be readable in the ear and indicated on the health certificate. If Tattoo is not readable there is a re-tattoo procedure for your veterinarian to follow to re-tattoo your females. NO NON-VACCINATES WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS SALE. If cattle are from a brucellosis or TB free herd, please list that number on health certificate. Bulls must have a breeding soundness exam and must meet trich requirements. PALPATION REQUIREMENTS: Females must be palpated to be sold as bred and the approximate number of months bred must be listed on health certificate with corresponding ear tag #. Pairs and bred females will be considered breeders without further guarantee. (Buyer has until May 13, 2016 to have an accredited veterinarian check pregnancy status of bred females). Open or exposed females must be guaranteed by the consignor. Complete terms and conditions of sale will be available on sale day. ARRIVAL: Consignments must arrive at Circle T Cattle Company NO LATER than 3:00 p.m. on April 28, 2016. Hay will be available and fed by sale management. (Cost of hay will be determined closer to sale date. You may contact sale management 2 weeks prior to sale date to confirm the price.) You may bring your own grain, hay, and feed pans if you wish; however, if you provide your own grain and hay you will be required to feed your own cattle. Sale management will be responsible for watering all cattle. SALE ORDER: Sale order will be set by sale management. MISCELLANEOUS: A catalog of the sale lots will be available online and mailed upon request. No cattle will be run through the ring.; instead, all cattle will be videoed 2 to 3 weeks prior to the sale. Sale management will coordinate a central location to video the cattle. Cattle will be on the premises for buyers to view. Consignors will be given names and addresses of buyers of their cattle and it will be mailed with sale proceed check within 10 business days of the sale. CATTLE IN MOTION will broadcast this sale on the internet. We are very excited about this sale and hope that you will consider consigning some of your best cattle.
