As mobile phone penetration is on the rise, there is a demand for new financial products and services. Can mobile payments solutions turn the region s cashonomy into safer, more convenient and time efficient transactions? We did a quick survey to find out what are the drivers and challenges that the mobile payments ecosystem needs to overcome in order to break the cultural legacy of distrust and unleash the region s full potential?
