Licence Information: GEDO-TEC Software is try-before-buy software. This means: 1. All copyrights to GEDO-TEC ContactManager are exclusively owned by the author of the Software. 1.1. Records entered in this Demo Version can not be transfered to a full version. 1.2. The Demoversion can be restricted in functions and maybe not be the latest version available as the licenced version. 2. Anyone may use this software during a test period of 25 records. Following this test period, if you wish to continue to use GEDO-TEC ContactManager, you MUST purchase and register a full version. 3. Once registered, the user is granted a non-exclusive license to use GEDO-TEC ContactManager on one computer (i.e. a single cpu), for any legal purpose, at a time. The registered GEDO-TEC ContactManagersoftware may not be rented or leased, but may be permanently transferred, if the person receiving it agrees to terms of this license. If the software is an update, the transfer must include the update and all previous versions. 4. The GEDO-TEC ContactManager unregistered trial version, may be freely distributed, with exceptions noted below, provided the distribution package is not modified. No person or company may charge a fee for the distribution of GEDO-TEC ContactManager without written permission from the copyright holder. The GEDO-TEC ContactManager unregistered trial version may not be bundled or distributed with any other package without written permission of the copyright holder. 5. Supported operation systems: Windows XP Pro Windows Vista Business or higher Windows 7 Professional or higher The software can be installed on the Home Editions of these Operating Systems but we do not recommend this. Administrative Rights are required for Installation and Uninstallation Hardware Requirements: Our Software has the same requirement as the used Operating System. Installation: Start the downloaded Program file for installation. Uninstall: The Software can be uninstalled with the Sofwaremanagement of your Operating System. The Software itself: The demo version has a sample record to show minimum information about possible entries. The licensed version will be delivered with an empty database. The Software contains several internal Folders where all contact information are stored. For the daily usage only the Address Tab is required. All other Tabs are for information only. The Licence Tab is only used in the licensed version to enter the licence information. Please be aware that your licence name will be printed on every report. On the licensed version please press Enter Licence Information to enter the licence Information from your licence sheet. Please avoid typing errors, because your licence number is dongled to your licence name, which will be printed on reports. If you are using various databases, you have to enter the licence information in each used database. There is an additional statistic on the Licence Tab to show how much Addresses, Contacts and Calls are stored in the Database. Page 3 of 11
With the Main Tab bar you can easily add new addresses, print addresses, find a record, sort the list and go back and forward in the record history. The record history shows only which records you have selected before. There is no undo function available. The list at the upper part of the screen shows an overview about existing addresses. L Click on a address to show the details on the lower part of the screen The main address Tab shows you all details for a specific address. This includes the information when the address was entered in the database, if it is a Company or private address and if the selected record is a historic entry for a no longer needed address. Additional to the postal address you can also enter a visitor address and a main contact. If you have International addresses you can edit the Country List at the field Country Double click on the Email address or Web address will open the current entered address in your Email client and Web browser. To change the value, please use the right click on these fields. Page 4 of 11
The Contacts and Remarks Tab gives you the possibility to enter general information about a contact address which are valid for the whole address. Contact person specific information can be entered when you double click on an entry for a contact person. When you double click on a contact person or when you add a contact person a new window will open where you can enter the individual information. Page 5 of 11
Double click on the Email address or Web address will open the current entered address in your Email client and Web browser. To change the value, please use the right click on these fields. The content for the fields for Position and Phone 4 - various are user changeable. Simply edit the content in these fields to update the possible entries. For historic information you can also mark a record/person as no longer active Page 6 of 11
The Calls and Remarks Tab gives you the possibility to enter general information about an contact address which are valid for the whole address. Contact person specific information can be entered when you double click on an entry for a contact person. When you double click on a Call Content or when you add a Call Content a new window will open where you can enter the individual information for this call. The Date and Time is automatically preset from the current system Date and Time but can also be changed. The information about the contacted person must be entered manually. The Calling Content can contain the information about the done call. The content filed can accept a maximum of 32,000 characters incl. space etc. This is enough for approx. 3 Pages of information. When selecting to print a contact address it is also possible to select it only the current address should be printed or the whole content of the database or the result of a record search. Additional it is possible to select if only the address with the contact details or the address with all contact and calling details should be printed. Page 8 of 11
Below the printer settings are two used changeable entries for the Report Header. If required both Headers can be changed by the user. After pressing Update the print preview shows the updated Report headers. Page 9 of 11
