RAM 7.2 pricing and packaging overview RAM Standard Edition RAM Standard Edition Authorized User Publisher Floating Collaborator Floating Publisher Authorized User Lower entry cost Single server Authorized licensing only Includes 3 Publisher Authorized Users Server clustering Custom lifecycles Supports floating licenses

Objectives for 7.2 editions Provide flexible deployment approaches Standard Edition (SE) Enterprise Edition (EE) Two licensing models for EE Authorized User Floating User Easy to administer and monitor Reduce admin cost by not having to keep track of named users Addresses different usage patterns Publisher: search, view, comment, download, submit, modify, review Collaborator: search, view, comment, download Anonymous User (find and browse public assets) Scalability for very large deployments, while providing fair price for value Improve adoption by allowing others outside of original ROI scope to use product 4

How do I reconcile the different editions & license types? License Standard Edition Enterprise Edition Publisher Enterprise Edition Collaborator Server Doesn t require server purchase Limited to single server Must purchase RAM EE server Buy servers for test, prod and as need for capacity Includes Jazz asset lifecycle Must purchase RAM EE server Test, production and as need for capacity Includes Jazz asset lifecycle Authorized User All functionality Use the product daily Asset reviewers Use the product daily Only search & download assets Repository or community administrator No need to modify, update or review assets Program integrations Submit & update assets Search & use assets Floating Use product less than x per month Use product less than x per month Asset reviewers Only search & download assets Submit & update assets Search & use assets No need to modify, update or review assets

Anonymous Search Provides a user the ability to search for public assets without requiring a Client Access License Key To browse, view asset details or perform other asset functions like update, review, comment or download, you must have a Publisher or Collaborator License. Anonymous Access is available using the Web Client and Eclipse Client. 6

About the distribution of publisher and collaborator licenses Users Total Pub. Total Collabor. # Servers # Users a single Pub Floating Covers # Users a single Collabor. Floating Covers 90% 0% 0 0% 20% 20 60% 40% 00 30% 70% 2 000 20% 0% 0 200 0% 90% 2 7 000 0% 90% 2 00 2000 % 9% 4 20 A single floating license can cover a large number of users License usage is different from dev tools (e.g. SCM) With RAM a person might only use it at the beginning and end of a project. > 00 AU will typically migrate to EE to take advantage of: the new floating license new custom lifecycles 7

How does license key enforcement work? Administrators assign users to AU licenses: Collaborator or Publisher SE licenses cannot be used in an EE servers Collaborator license only allows search, download and comment on assets. Audit report can be generated to show license usage Floating license is consumed by users not assigned an AU license Collaborator license is consumed initially until a publisher feature is invoked then license consumption switches to publisher 30 minutes of inactivity or logging out releases the license (Floating) Programmatic access consumes a license Concurrent programmatic access consumes multiple licenses equal to the number of concurrent programmatic access
