Key Requirements of RANZCOG training programs The table below is a summary of the key requirements of the Certificate of Women s Health, and Advanced training programs. Program Key requirements Timeframe for completion Certificate of Women s Health (CWH) Eligiblity Currently in practice in an established GP practice or providing shared antenatal care with recognised facility or An RACGP and/or ACRRM registrar in a GP placement where a suitable training mentor is available or Undertaking or commencing a hospital appointment in an obstetric RMO rotation at PGY2 and above for at least 3 months Hospital-based or practice-based Complete online modules Mentor One Mentor, who must hold the, Advanced, DipRACOG or be a Fellow of RANZCOG and Be approved by the RANZCOG Assessment Requirements Trainees must complete the following: CWH logbook requirements and monthly sign-offs by Mentor Three workplace-based Validations and Pass the CWH written exam Minimum of three (3) months and completed within two (2) years.
Eligibility Must occupy accredited training posts Hospital-based training or a combination of practice-based and hospital-based training Complete online modules Supervisor One Supervisor who must hold a or Advanced qualification or be a FRANZCOG Must be in active obstetric practise in the hospital or approved where the trainee is undertaking DRANXVOG training and Be approved by the RANZCOG Assessment Requirements Trainees must complete the following All CHW requirements workplace-based validations written and oral examinations Minimum of six (6) months and completed within four (4) years. Overseas qualifications A pathway is available for converting the UK Diploma (DRCOG) and the NZ Diploma Recognition of Prior Learning Recognition for significant training which predates the commencement of prospectively approved training May count towards fulfilment or partial fulfilment of the training and assessment requirements
Advanced Eligibility Must occupy accredited Advanced training posts and Hospital-based training or If undertaking the and Advanced concurrently may undertake some training and assessment requirements outside the hospital setting Complete on-line modules Supervisors Two Supervisors who both hold either the Advanced or Fellowship of the RANCZOG One Supervisor must be in active obstetric practice in the hospital where the trainee is undertaking Advanced training One Supervisor may be located remotely but must regularly sight the logbook Remote supervision must be prospectively approved by the RANZCOG Assessment Requirements Trainees must satisfactorily complete the following All the requirements of the Advanced logbook requirements; Seven (7) Advanced workplace-based validations and Five (5) written case syntheses based on a range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions Recognition of Prior Learning Recognition for significant training which predates the commencement of prospectively approved / DRANCOG Advanced training
