I worked very closely with Marika for 1.5 years, in which she quickly learnt the trade & excelled with her day to day tasks. This led to her being lead on three major digital initiatives by Starwood. Marika helped plan, design, optimize and ultimately distribute the new meeting sites. ENDORSEMENTS.. Since Marika joined us here in Dubai, she has been a valued team member and has successfully taken care of her portfolio of up to 11 hotels, including the recent opening of Grand Hills Broumana in Lebanon. Currently, she is intensively working with other colleagues on planning & conducting a destination marketing strategy for our region, which includes the Instagram & Tumblr account Discover Arabia where they are continuously growing followers & awareness. Marika set up all relevant social media platforms, grew our audience, created content and continuously communicated throughout all channels. Finally, she set up an additional tool (Hootsuite) that allows for easy and structured posting going forward. I can say that Marika created and maintained social media for two companies from scratch and exceeded our expectations in doing so. I only provided objectives and all tools necessary to perform the tasks at hand but did not give much directive aside from occasional update meetings.
