Nehru Nagar, New Delhi 110065 NOTICE 21.08.2015 To improve computer skills, the college is going to start two short terms courses (ADD-ON-COURSES) in the computer for a duration of one month (24 Classes) 12 session of two hours each as per schedule given below:- Course fee @ Rs. 1200/- per student will be charged in advance from the students. Registration will start from Monday, the 24 th August, 2015. Registration in the said courses is strickly for the students studying in this college on first come first serve basis. Add-on Courses P.G.D.A.V. College (Evening), Delhi University Nehru Nagar, New Delhi - 110065 The Objective: In today s competitive job market, it is becoming increasingly difficult for fresh graduates to meet the requirements for securing a good job. Though they gain a lot of theoretical knowledge in their respective subjects during their stay in the college, they find themselves lacking to meet the demands of the companies who are looking for tech-savvy freshers to get adjusted with the ever-changing technological world. P.G.D.A.V. College (Evening) in its endeavor to equip its students with latest technologies, has decided to run a number of short-term courses in computer applications. These courses would supplement the knowledge the students have gained in the core subjects they have studied during their undergraduate programs and would provide them the much needed extra-edge over their competitors in the fast-changing job scenario. The purpose is to strengthen their already acquired knowledge with technological skills. The Courses: P.G.D.A.V. College (Evening) plans to run a number of courses to fulfill its objective of empowering its students with latest IT tools needed for a comfortable entry into the job market. These courses have been designed after consulting experts from the field of education and various industries. We hope these courses would enable our students to fit into the current day demands of the job-providers and to adapt to the work environment of the industry. Some of the broad areas in which the college plans to provide these add-on courses are: Basic Computing, Web-designing, e-accounting, Data-analytics, E-commerce, Publishing Technologies, Graphics Designing and programming courses in C, OOPS, HTML, Python etc.

In the beginning, we are offering two (one month duration) courses in the current semester i.e. from July to December 2015. Course Content - I : Accounting using Tally No. of Seats 40 Duration of Course 1 Month (24 classes) 12 sessions of 2 hrs. each. Classes: Class Timings: Venue: Tentative Dates: Course Fee: 2 classes per day on alternate day i.e. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. 12-2 P.M. (After Noon) Computer lab (above the morning staff room) 7 th, 9 th, 11 th, 14 th, 16 th, 18 th, 21 st, 23 rd, 25 th, 28 th, 30 th September and 5 th October, 2015. Rs. 1200/- payable in advance. Course Content - II : Programming using C No. of Seats 40 Duration of Course Classes: Class Timings: Venue: Tentative Dates: 1 Month (24 classes ) 12 sessions of 2 hrs. each 2 classes per day on alternate day i.e. Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. 12-2 P.M. (After Noon) Computer lab (above the morning staff room) 8 th, 10 th, 12 th, 15 th, 17 th, 19 th, 22 nd, 24 th, 26 th, 29 th September and 1 st & 3 rd October, 2015 Course Fee: Rs. 1200/- payable in advance.

Important points to note: 1. Since there are only limited seats available in each course, admission will be on FCFS (First Come First Served) Basis. 2. The admissions to both of the courses are restricted initially only to PGDAV College (Eve.) students. 3. Full Course fee has to be paid in advance. Fees once paid, is not refundable 4. Interested Students should fill up the attached form and submit it along with the fee of Rs. 1200 at the cash counter on or before 31 st of August 2015 after getting it signed by. Remember, only first 40 students are to be enrolled in each course. So, students really interested in joining a course should do it in time to avoid disappointment. 5. Any student of any course or any semester may join any of these courses. 6. Both the courses will have practical classes and students are advised to be regular in the classes and do the practical work seriously to get the maximum benefit. 7. Practical assignments given by the instructors should be completed and submitted in time. 8. The performance of the students will be evaluated through assignments and an exam to be conducted after the completion of the course. 9. Students should note that some of the sessions may be held on Sundays/holidays to compensate for the classes which could not be held at the scheduled day and time or if the college plans to provide some additional special sessions by the experts in the field. 10. Students are advised to attend as many course as possible during their stay in the college as every module/course being offered in the add-on courses in the college will certainly do some value-addition to a student s profile. 11. On completion of the course, the student will be awarded a Certificate in the relevant course he/she completes
