With this unique and innovative technology, Big Dutchman puts an end to the confusing variety of parallel computer programs on your farm. As of now, all of your controllers, computers and sensors will be able to communicate with each other. BigFarmNet is the all-in-one solution for your farm even if it is spread among several locations. What is BigFarmNet? The future for your pig barn. BigFarmNet is a system which allows you to control, monitor and manage all computers and controllers on your farm from a central location.

The central user interface, the BigFarmNet Manager, displays your farm in a realistic three-dimensional graphic. One click on the respective house allows you to control the installed systems directly, intuitively and without having to pore over a manual for hours beforehand. You can access the BigFarmNet Manager not only from any computer on your farm but also via your iphone or Blackberry. This also helps to save valuable time: user rights, master data, pig movement data, feed curves, recipes or temperature settings have to be entered only once now. All BigFarmNet computers synchronize the current data immediately upon entry, automatically and in real time. Even if pigs are moved from one pen to another, multiple entries are no longer necessary! How does it work? Absolutely foolproof. No matter where you are, thanks to the BigFarmNet Manager you have all relevant information always in view and are thus able to react immediately should a problem occur.

Everything under control.

The BigFarmNet Manager allows you to control your entire farm from one central location. The unique system runs on different Big Dutchman control computers, such as the new barn-ready 717 with touch screen, but also on any Windows PC. The new Big Dutchman technologies SonoCheck and SowCam have, of course, also already been integrated in the system. But the BigFarmNet Manager can do even more: the Silo Manager allows you to monitor your silos, the Sow Manager helps you to keep track of your sows and the Fattening Manager enables you to document all important procedures for your fattening pigs. Even if pigs are moved from one pen to another, the system ensures consistent feed and medication backtracking. Any requirements regarding»cross Compliance«and»QA«are more than met. What can I control? Your entire farm - from feeding systems, climate control, exhaust air treatment and sorting scales over to milling and mixing systems up to the management of sows, fattening pigs and silos.

On the safe side.

BigFarmNet increases the operational reliability in your barns: since all production and climate alarms are displayed together with a precise description of the problem, you can easily access any system in case of trouble directly from the central control computer or via a mobile phone for example. Thereby we attached great importance to absolute reliability already during the development of BigFarmNet: all linked computers can also work completely isolated from each other and, if an interruption of the connection occurs, any parallel changes made on unconnected computers are automatically synchronized without loss upon reconnection. BigFarmNet is based on established, worldwide tested network technologies and is also ISOagriNET-interface-compatible. How future-proof is BigFarmNet? Absolutely future-proof. Every control unit can operate by itself. If the connection is interrupted, the system synchronizes all data once the connection is re-established again. In addition, BigFarmNet is ISOagriNET-interface-compatible.

An economic solution.

The future is not expensive. All systems of the Big Dutchman»Pro«Series are already BigFarmNet-ready - without extra costs. Only the communication between the monitoring PCs and the control units results in additional costs, and not even the networking can stand in the way of a successful revolution in your barn: in regard to the network technology, we used standard components which can be installed easily and economically by any certified electrician. Do I have to buy everything new? No. Most Big Dutchman control units can simply be upgraded. You can still operate individual systems without interconnection and then upgrade to BigFarmNet step by step.
