Every Ounce Counts! Everyone knows that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! A Check Weigher can literally pay for itself in cost savings in a relatively short time period: You are bagging almonds 8 oz. bags. Your cost for almonds is $4.00/pound. Your packaging machinery produces 50 bags/minute. That s 3,000 bags per hour 24,000 bags per 8 hour shift 120,000 bags per 5 day, one shift work week. If you are just 1/8 ounce heavy per package: You are over packing 6.25 ounces per minute That s 375 oz. (23.4 pounds) per hour That s 187 pounds per 8 hour shift = $750 In a 5 day work week five 8 hours shifts you GIVE AWAY $3,750 in free product. Using this calculation, the Barrington Check Weigher/Metal Detector Combo, at $23,900 pays for itself in just 6.4 weeks.!
